No way! I was hired as Electronics, since I worked at Circuit City for 11 months. They "lost" my application, if you want to believe that, and I was put as cashier for a while. While being cashier I was chosen to be cross-trained at Food Ave, Carts, and Guest service. I don't think I am any closer to a promotion, but I have worked my ass off and I think someone is hopefully noticed. When I was put on the floor, work became a dream. I love it. 
My cousin is actually a Store Manager at a Target in Texas. I don't talk/communicate with her in the slightest though. I don't even think I mentioned her her status in the interview I first had, though I'm sure if I did it would have gotten me the job if I had not already gotten it myself.
