Well, after my little tizzy yesterday evening, I feel better. But the site still irritates the fuck out of me. It's not user friendly and it's set up stupid. mad And it really does give me a headache. But, like dmac said, now that I'm old I gotta stop bitching or i'll turn into a mean and crotchety old lady, and no one digs a mean...

OOOOOOoooooo excited to the goose pimple point!!!! IT'S ALMOST HERE!!!!! WOW!!!
oh, and I so hear you and me yelling 'JUST SHIFT DAMNIT' WHY WHY WHY??? There should be a remote control for his gears, then all we'd have to do is "bleep" and he'd be flying. He's a power god and just doesn't have faith that his endurance can match, but still......ooooo weeeee here we go biggrin

Ugh, this new format is irritating me. so many clicks and scrolls!! mad

I just noticed on that calendar over there <----- that in 16 days it's my one-year anniversary of leaving the sex offender therapist career. And all the trauma that preceeded it and other trauma that was a result of it. And this year has been the best of my life aside when I...

I think since June 30th is a Friday, that should be your anniversary and it should be the start of a five day celebration right through Juky 4th! I sure am glad I'm not the only one not diggin the new format. Not user friendly and not inuitive in the least. Sorry about the ex; it's drag when you try to scrape people off and they just keep trying to latch back on.

I'd say the 30th and party all weekend!!! Congrats!! kiss

So yesterday I had a freaking FABULOUS hair day. Seriously. Totally fucking awesome. My curls were rocking, the layers are even, and my highlights were kickin'. There is no way to have a bad day on a good hair day. None. And I LOOOOOOVE my new hair chick. love She is great. Three weeks ago she fixed a really bad cut, and now she has my...

I love great hair days!! You can't go wrong. So, Jan looking skinny!!! I',m impressed! He just make it up those mountains. And I"m sure he changed his gear size either, but carrying less weight might do the trick. I had a dream that I was talking about him to some friend, and with no Lance out there, he just might have a chance.
catdad:
I know how physically demanding it is. It just doesn't interest me as a sport. I can't appreciate it for anything more than extreme bike riding. It's still bike riding. The guys in our warehouse are on their feet for eight hours a night and may load 40,000 lbs of groceries. That's pretty gruelling work, but I don't want to watch it. Not even the highlights. If I'm going to watch someone riding a bike, I'd rather it was the cute blond up the street. wink

I did not have a great hair day today.

Ok, this science class is turning out to be a drag. Labs, discussions, quizes, an exam this weekend... puke Cell structure. Yeah, kinda difficult.

Thanks for all the kind words about Taffy and sharing your stories. kiss She's doing much better today. I gave her a bath last night, and that always fires her up and puts her in a good mood. She tears around the house...

No, the gum was definitely the mouthguard. It even felt bigger than normal when I woke up. It just doesn't fit the same as the last one did and isn't quite as comfortable. It isn't uncomfortable, however. My dentist said he always had dreams about having a mouth full of marshmallows when he wore one.

Bicycling would be a much more compelling sport for me if they all wore pads and wielded bats against each other.

I have to concede that Jan certainly looks like he hasn't had to crash-diet to avoid breaking his frame this year. Could be a good omen for him for the tour. T-mobile could be the team to beat if they can actually agree on who is leader (Jan? Vino? Kloden?).

Cell biology, its a breeze. but its a big subject, in fact a degree programme on its own. If you have any specific areas of confusion, just drop something in the comment box and I'll get back to you.

I find it funny tha your poor dog 'recovers' after a bath. Both of mine, old and young, would run a country mile to avoid a bath, gloat cruely at the other if she was getting a bath and look deeply sad, offended and resentful for the rest of the eveing after. that being said they can smell the river or the sea or any stagnant pond/creek/puddle from miles put the ears down , go deaf and make straight for it...

Wonder what it is about baths.

One of my dogs, Taffy (19-year-old Corgi/Dachsund mix), is, like I wrote, 19. That's really old for a canine. She's about as healthy as a 19 year-old can be. She's well enough to go for 1 mile walks every other day when it's warm; not too cool, not too hot. She's pretty much blind, but can find her way around the house well enough, with...

Are Levellers 5 the same as The levellers? Cause The Levellers have been around since the late 80's. Could be a bit of a name shortening. They play kinda folky rock.

When i do the wheelbuilding segment i can build myself a set of wheels to keep but i need to buy the hubs and rims, but i get the spokes and nipples for free biggrin I just wish i could afford to buy DT Swiss gear. I can already ttue awheel and all that but wheelbuildings a bit of a dark art to me at the mo.Well now i've done the Facing and Tapping and alignment i can do your frame for you,and i'd build you a bike no probs, but i think i'll stay clear of actually welding a frame up, to many liabillity issues lol. I did used to do Fibre glassing,i wonder if Carbon Fibre's along the same lines confused

In short i think i could give you a sweet ride wink blush

kiss

Aren't old pets the best? I just put a kitty down not too long ago who was 18 and he literally had been with me my entire adult life. I found him at a 7/11 on the corner of 70th and El Cajon Boulevard and I'm pretty sure he had never been indoors before. It took a while to socialize him too but it was an amazing and gratifying process. We were joined at the hip, him & me, and in his old age I had to do some extra little things to keep him comfy. But isn't it all worth it after all the love and joy they bring you? My vet told me that the sheer force of my love for that silly cat had prolonged his little kitty life at least a couple years and I'm sure you can say the same for Taffy. Hell, you probably prolonged that little pooch's life by TEN years, by the sounds of it. What a marvelous story, skooter. Thanks so much for sharing that.

And thanks also for the nice compliment about our pseudo straight ranks for the parade. I guess they really aren't all that bad considering the average age of our band members is about FIFTY!!! eeek (Yeah, I'm the youngster among them!)

Ok. Hmmmmm. Well, let me start with this: That description up there ^^^^^^^ is totally correct. EDIT: I changed it.

And my profile pic is wrong. EDIT: I changed that too.

I seriously don't like having room for only Top 5 Friends. That sucks. how can I choose among all...

Wow... how many years ago was that? I wish he had continued with his own music, rather than the "joining established bands" stuff. But maybe the muse wasn't cooperating. I think When You See the Sun was a great cd.
campag:
Yeah, I'm stlill phased by the site changes.

If I had to choose from 'totally sucked, somewhat sucked or didn't suck', I guess my week somewhat sucked.

Beckham plays with the wrong shape balls wink

Australia vs England rugby union tonight. Now that truly is the beautiful game.

Ok...I came in here for something; now what was it?

I confess. And it's a biggie...I watch So You Think You Can Dance. It rocks. I can't stand American Idol. Though I do like it when they are mean to the crap people in the first few weeks, but after that it is simply mass-produced karaoke. No originality, no inventiveness, just bad covers of a...

Partly sunny, but with enough clouds to make it a little muggy. Mid to upper 70's, I think. It seems like Muffin always wants to lie on my lap when he has gas.

Thanks again for the info. smile
