"there is no hell like an old hell..."

just thought i'd post something since it's been over 3 months since i last posted anything here. course, that's mostly because i've rarely visited this site in that time. dunno if that'll change in the near future...

been down lately for a number of reasons. hopefully Coachella will boost my spirits & get me out of this...

Technically TODAY (even though in my mind it's still Friday since I haven't slept yet)

I get to stand beside a brother and watch him get married to someone who deserves him and whom he deserves...my first stint as a best man. I was told the toast is optional, but I think I'll deliver one just in case I never get this opportunity again (which...

Still rarely on here...anyone else notice that after a while the layouts on here all start to blur together? Seems like it gets more and more rare for me to find a set interesting...maybe it's about time to move on.

(doesn't look like I'd be missed either)

Anyway...nothing of importance to report here, so I suppose I'll wander back out...

Hmm...haven't spent much time on this site lately...or any other one really...at least not compared to the amount of time I used to spend online. I've been spending a lot of time out doing things lately instead of sitting at home on the computer, so that's made a difference.

And this month's a busy one too. 2 concerts next weekend, and I plan on slipping...

As previously posted elsewhere, with small edits:

2008: 2+0+0+8=10...1+0=1...

One (1) is the beginning. If you see what I did above (and I apologize for throwing math at you), this year is perfect for beginnings. Time to start all over in any way you choose. Whatever you begin this year will be successful, because it is meant to be. And so it shall be...

I've...

I'm not tired enough to sleep tonight, so I guess I'll ramble here and see if that helps any.

My birthday is coming up soon, but this year I'm not even excited about it. Every birthday I have brings disappointment it seems...I try to gather my friends, but because it's finals time for those in school, and holiday time for everyone else, all my plans...

Back from the dead, and ready to party. biggrin

Finally got my own place and got moved in. Took a little longer than I expected it to, but c'est la vie. Now I just need to get everything set up the way I want it, and bring in some furniture since I'm no longer only needing to furnish a bedroom.

I've got a lot of catching...

Tomorrow I leave my apartment behind...I'll be couch-surfing until I find a new place to move into. Like Capt. Jack Sparrow, I have a heading (I think...could change before the week's out, but we'll see). ARRR!!!

I'll post more when I can return and give definite details on definite things that are definitely happening. If not from a friendly homestead, then from my new digs once...

I think I need to use different bait or ammo for this job-hunting thing. It's not working out at all.

Right now, however, I'm moving. Since I have no job to go to, I haven't found a place of my own either. It'd be stupid of me to move somewhere else only to find a job nowhere near it, and it'd be a nuisance to...

The following comes from the book Skinny Legs and All by Tom Robbins, which I am currently reading. I read this part recently and loved it...so I decided to share. To clarify things a little (in case it's needed), Spike Cohen is Jewish, Roland Abu Hadee is Moslem, and Reverend Buddy Winkler is Christian. As for the mentions of veils, those refer to Salome, or...

Chuck Palahniuk has long been one of my favorite authors, and anyone who's read one of his books need not ask me why. After seeing Fight Club in the theatre, I tracked down a copy of the book and have been in love with his work ever since. I finally got the opportunity to meet the man while he toured the country in support of...

i've only read a couple of Palahniuk books (Fight Club and Invisible Monsters) and it was like three years ago but little disturbing bits of them still pop into my head from time to time. i'd like to read more of his stuff sometime, i know my boyfriend has more.

i've already decided the next book i read is going to be I Am Legend. i don't know how i didn't know about it. but i HAVE to read it. unless one of my coworkers gets around to lending me his copy of Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

who am i kidding, i don't even have time to be posting this, i have to be somewhere. whatever
maude:
aww, thanks. the area i happen to live in is just a very difficult one. i saw a cute little house with the lower floor for rent today and the landlord said the first person to get their application in that she approved would get it, and i got mine back in very very quick (went straight to work, filled that sucker out FAST and then faxed it over and left her a mesage to let her know). so, we'll see. i'm sure once i do get a place you'll know because i'll be all "EEEEEE!!!!'
