okay...today was incredibly frustrating. I have had a new laptop for just a few months now. Less than a week after getting it, McCafee anti-virus uninstalled itself, along with IE5 and the Dell support center. Since then I have had nothing but trouble.... sooo...... I ended up doing a full system reboot today. Granted, the new system makes it pretty easy, I was even able...

Okay.... I know that I am not much of a TV watcher. However, today I was fighting the crud that my virus delivery systems (kids) have passed me so I was sitting and watching the marathon of CSI: NY on Spike. Lo and Behold! There was an episode dealing with Suicide Girls! Way Cool Nixon is Neat!
Anyway, it was a neat burst of fun...

Another week started... This one has started with my middle kid turning 15 years old today. Geez... I honestly do not feel that old, really!
Here....in honor of tat2dmom's birthday and my son's birthday, I present you Mean Moms....
Someday when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will tell them, as my Mean Mom told me: I...

Well it has been a bit...but I am still here. I have been fighting depression like crazy...tired, irritable, and just angry at the world. Not a good way to be, I know. I do have "chemical depression" so I am used to having depressive episodes and getting through it and dealing with it. This time is different though..this time has reasons and that makes it...

Well, here goes...school starts in just over 24 hours, and this year I have another high schooler in play. When the heck did I get so old? I went to his Freshman orientation this afternoon...boy! did that bring back memories. High school wasn't my most favorite time of all, but it wasn't half bad either. I remember the odd group I was a part of,...

Well, I survived the fair and all the mayhem that goes with it the fair itself is a podunk thing with too much political and commercial junk, but the competitive exhibits of crafts and such make it all worth while. I am always amazed what cabin fever can help people create

I know, I know I have been gone a LONG time. What can I say? Life intervened big time... I got really sick, traveled a good deal, sent my eldest son to a residential treatment hospital, my middle son to Europe, and my baby girl to Boise and then dove in full time in working our state fair....go figure Fall is coming though and the...

I must admit that my hubby wasn't keen on doing the pics and neither was my son, but as soon as we were in there they were having a blast too. I think I only got them there because it was a pressie from my mother-in -law for my 40th birthday and I guess they felt they had too.
Good god woman, you've been gone so long
I was worried when I read you've been really sick, but then common sense kicked in when I realised you were here to write your journal. I hope you're fully recovered now.

Don't Know the per gallon, but our Oil Dealer quoted $6,000.-
for a season's pre-buy. Switching to a Pellet Furnace,
the Big drag is we HAVE to keep the Oil monster by state law!!!
I wonder what Lobby got that through ???
For us in Maine gas-$3.50ish Diesel-$3.94 Heatinoil-$3.45ish
What did Palin do that you have to pay that much next door to
the refinery?
trick hunting.
The Tudor's were an interesting bunch. Back in '92 swaped houses with
a familey from Yorkshire. On evening in the local Pub got to talking with
the "natives". The way they carried on one would have though
Richard III had just been overthrown. I find the effort to make him
less of a monster than as Shakespeare has him, refrshing.
But then there are several Historic Lost Causes I think got the
short end of historys stick by the victors justifying what they did.
I've yet to buy Black Adder but then the local PBS airs it quite
frequently.
