Since Sundays are video days, and I seem to be incapable of doing things around here other than by rote process, I'm going to dedicate Mondays to poetry.

blam

It came as in a dream
but has remained as an infection
crystallized amid a cloud
of memories
of windshield glass
exploding
into an angry constellation
a jewelled virus
that settled between my ears

The Paths weren't always straight. I actually play-tested it out a few times at ReZork and another one, but it looks like some other emulators might not be interpreting the same way. I'm not sure anyone would have gotten the answer without playing through those steps- you were supposed to end up at the "Rocky Ledge"

...You can see from here that the main flow from Aragain Falls twists along a passafe which it is impossible for you to enter..."

Whatever...no one would ever know.

FLASHBACK: CONFUSION

If you watch ONE video I ever post. This might be the one.

This week, I'm going a slightly different route with the flashback. Maybe it's because I'm NYC where my turntables are. Maybe it's because I can't stand what's become of NYC in a lot of ways. Maybe it's just because this week demands a hit of the most important post-punk/electronic dance...

[UPDATED 11/05/06]: The Sunday Edition...

This week's Punk Rock Flashback starts with a clip from a movie that changed my whole life...The DECLINE of Western Civilization. Actually I heard the soundtrack first, since at first we were nervous about seeing the movie at the Surf theater downtown in HB, 'cuz the big kids were known for their insanity there, and that was just for surf...

Couldn't get online to post this yesterday, but it's more than made up for with these clips from a short film by Don Letts in '81 when Clash came to NYC.

Don Letts was the rasta DJ/Filmmaker at whose london flat much of the early London punk scene hung out...Sixousie, Chrissie Hynde, Joe Strummer, Sid Vicious, etc.

Make sure to check out the group of...

Ugh, the smartie shooter. I am compelled to think about what it would have been like to drop the smartie in. I actually think that's how B^E was invented.
-Was that the shot that did me in for the night? if so, I might need to recall the invention.

Keeping with the Homeland Security motif, a deleted scene from Baron-Cohen's movie wherein he put a towel on his head with his belt and crossed into AZ with a satchel. Meanwhile his peeps taped the whole thing from a Minuteman outpost. Genius.

unfortunately I lost the knife on Halloween - seems I got too drunk and was making out with someone all night who lost it while I was in the restroom

So dissapointing really! Mostly because I don't remember much of anything
