A couple of years ago my sisters and I went to an Eisley concert (one of my favorite bands)-I was really into them at the time but my sisters were just tagging along and they had an ok time but it really wasn't their thing. The older of the two has started to like them alot and so she and I went to another of...

I'm not moving to Fort Worth in January frown

I'm planning on going back to school. Though I've considered it in the past-I never thought I would. I really want to though. I'm going to apply for grants and scholarships and then a loan to cover housing expenses. I've been looking at UNT (University of North Texas) in Denton. I want to be a teacher. I...

Thank you kiss
I have another interview for the same company next month so fingers crossed smile I've been doing teaching for the past 3 years as a volunteer and I highly recommend it, it's great fun especially if it's with the environment. Have a look around in your area and see if there's anything you can volunteer for.
Sorry to hear about you not moving to Fort Worth but you can move there once you become a teacher smile

I originally went to college to become a teacher. My major as in art but I never ended up teaching. Well that's not completely true since I did homeschool my children for quite a few years.

I've always wanted to learn german, my mother's family was German but I know so little about them since I was adopted. I took Latin and French while I was in school. I wish I study both a bit more, I remember so little of the Latin and can only read French and rather poorly. I suppose I should take the time I have now and practice.

Congrats on your success! I too need to get back into the swing of things, in the world of exercise, but I've been soooo lazy about it.

In regards to eating before or after the workout, do both! Before your workout you'll want some bread, cereal or oatmeal. The carbs help fuel your workout. Post workout you will want some egg whites or a protein shake. By feeding your body protein after your workout it helps to build your muscles.

As others have noted above, mixing in cardio with your strength training is very beneficial too. Do a set with weights, then 2 minutes on the eliptical, another set of weights, a set if sit-ups, and follow it by 5 minutes on the elliptical. By varying your workouts like this your body should respond quicker and you will notice results faster. Especially if you are taking in enough protein. God luck and congrats again!!
