Welcome back!!!!

Actually, work is kind of surreal right now. I basically spent the week driving around the province doing quality control checks on all the summer camps. I do believe I have a mighty sunburn now!!! Good for me!

woohoo! I'm having a fun week biggrin

I got a text on Tuesday night from my lovely mate Evie insisting in no uncertain terms that I accompany her to a Pirate Night in Camden, and never one to resist the opportunity to wave a sword and go 'yarr', I agreed.

While I was kicking around waiting for her and the rest of our shipmates to get...

You may have a plethora of Johns in your life, but I must say you're first Kitty I've known - and thusfar it's been lots of fun!

Are you off the Budapest first thing Monday, or do you have further birthday plans before you leave?
goblintcat:
Alright! Messing with the church goers!!! Good for you. Now, are you SURE you had more eyeliner than the choir boys? I mean, there have been...um...stories!

I do believe I have successfully purged my system of all that pesky blood! I just came back from a bbq at my brothers involving distinctly non-fruit flavoured beer and I now must go meet my cousin for more fruit flavoured beer.

Sigh. Once this vacation is over I think I'm going to have to put a full stop to this drinking nonsense. My liver is getting distinctly angry at me. eeek

hello my dearest darlings

so, I'm nearly finished with the skipping show, and with nothing on the horizon workwise until October, the fear is starting to set in... anyone need a movement director? I'm good... honest...

I spoke to my beloved yesterday and can't wait to head out to Hungary and bring him home. this whole long distance malarky is no fun at all. on...

Ah the Atlantic has been the bane of many a skipping impaired individual! frown

I have faith in you finding something soon! In the meantime, here's some cookie-based moral support! wink

midwinter:
Hmm, we shall see about the 'revealing' truths. I'm generally not fond of them - at least not on here. 4am, exhausted from a long night of nonsense, and half-cut on cheap wine is probably the best time (or worst, I can waffle on a bit once I warm to the subject wink )

I may well be around Edinburgh around festival-time, despite loathing the crowds. But my geographical position at the moment is, erm, 'subject to change'. So we shall have to wait and see. I'll ask around to see if anyone needs a movement director. Ideally, I need someone to stand nearby me when I'm walking down the street and directing everyone who looks like they're going to walk into me to get out of the way. It's been getting so bad lately that I've had to ask my Favourite Person if she's noticed me turning invisible lately.

Oh, and since you're asking - astronomically correct tattoos are a rarity, and therefore a brilliant idea. And you should probably take your set theme from your username. I think it could work. smile

... and I'm back again after another week of rehearsals in the pretty country town of Lewes, where if you don't have a couple of adorable children who do yoga for babies, you just don't fit...

This started out as a fun week in rehearsals, my lovely friend who's designing the show got one of the actors into bed (nobody knows but me, teehee!) but...

Have fun with the tantic babies!!! Amazing how they can get their heads to make a circle like that!!!

Grease!! Chocolate!!! That's what one needs to deal with extra flexible baibes!!! Go on....I won"t tell! wink

Oh, it goes okay, I suppose sister. Well, better than okay in several respects. But life's not without its small irritations. Who knows - one day I may actually write a very personal and revealing journal entry rather than the usual evasive and ambiguous nonsense I currently fill the space with!

Or perhaps not. We shall see.

I see you've managed to fill the profile box thing at the top with something amusing - well done. Almost everyone else has filled it with sarcasm and nonsense, or some form of self-deprication. Such is the nature of this beast we call SG, I suppose.

I didn't know you were planning to visit this side of the border. It's really rather dull...

oops... how did it get to be June already?

so much work.

and I'm buggering off to Sussex on Sunday to work on my fairy skipping show (yup, camp as Christmas, me) for three weeks.

However, my beloved just left to go to Hungary on a research trip for six weeks, so, fickle creature that I am, I suddenly remembered y'all!

I'd imagine everyone thinks...

I kept up the checking but assumed you'd ended up locked in some room or other and couldn't get out...perhaps the shed? wink

Good point on the whole change in stages concept. That's why I need you around more, to make sure I think these life altering changes through before jumping into them head first (how does one jump head first anyways???)

I was thinking of perhaps turning the cat into a zombie as well but I'm not sure if zombieism works like vampirism and the semse of transferring powers and such. Hmmm....

Welcome back, sister. I was starting to worry that Easter had finished you off somehow... surreal

I'm doing well. How've the last couple of months treated you?

Hello and happy spring fertility fetivals to you all! John Barleycorn has risen, the wolf has disgorged the sun, the bunnies are fucking (oh, and apparently, it's the anniversary of a bloke with a beard being executed by the Romans and then making a miraculous comeback too) Yes, not a lot of hymn-singing in the DeWinter Easter wink

Very interesting how religions all end up piling...

Celebrated by laying in bed with my favourite person eating chocolate. Not a lot of praying during my easter holiday either - although I daresay there's someone out there praying in vain for my soul. Hah.

Your mistake may have been ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the baby photos. The outlaw's minds must have been going overdrive: 'Ah, they like babies... but, of course, they can't have them outwith wedlock. Time to start looking out the hats...'

Thankfully I've never had to go through the whole marriage conversation. Yet.

hey hey, it's nearly Friday, which means it's nearly the end of timetabled work for a whole glorious week! I'm setting next week aside for research, I've got three shows coming up, none of which has had enough thought and input yet, so I can't wait. expect to find me spouting about bears, skipping traditions in rural Sussex and birthing rituals all next week, yay!...

Bwahahahaha! My work here is done!

You know, you're absolutely right. Google has a severe lack of skipping bears! This was the best I could come up with:

Just doesn't live up to the image in my head!
goblintcat:
Oh and for reasons known only to Google, this comes up when you type skipping bear as well:

Why, I don't quite know.

I love BROADBAND!

I've just endured the most frustrating broadband-less fortnight ever. I had no idea how much i needed it. I shall be sending flowers to Tiscali for months.

yay! so fast now! no stupid squeally noises and no mega phone bill, joy!

In other news: the new place is fantastic, me, my beloved and all our books fit in just nicely and my shed...

midwinter:
Hey, thanks for the post. There's a definite name similarity there - you're not some long-lost sister or something are you? wink

I'm actually trying to sleep on the train to work more just so I can avoid all the things about them that work me up. But it doesn't work - even waiting on the platform's a chore. The 'I'm-terribly-important' business man who tuts until the train arrives, even if it's on time; the twiglet thin office flake who always has to be the first on the train even if she's stopping other people getting off... *sigh* I guess I'm just not built for that run in the morning.

But anyway, I've promised myself I shall keep my rants to my own journal and not sully the comment boxes of others! Hope you're still enjoying your broadband. What's going in the shed? Not the usual rakes and lawnmower I hope.

Nice to meet you. Do pop around the journal again. smile

Hello lovies,

I just got trapped in my bedroom.

couldn't decide if is was funny or frightening. The door handle got stuck and I just couldn't get it open from the inside.

My beloved was on the other side of town and none of my neighbours were answering their phones (after I'd trawled through loads of old paperwork and emails to find their numbers) He...
