Because I'm now an incredibly poor student with a maxed out credit card, I shall be gone for a while. It has been fun, I may return yet.

That sucks a big weenie! I looked forward to your narratives from down-under. I, for one, will miss you. Good luck with your studies, and I hope to hear from you again someday. smile kiss

In less than a week I move to Wellington. Scary! I finally have a place to live and I've started packing. I actually didn't think I had that much stuff, but my books/cds/dvds took up 2 1/2 banana boxes just on their own.

I finished up at work on Friday and they gave me a suitcase and a gift basket full of uni survival stuff....

Wow, a whole month without a blog post. I haven't even been using my livejournal!

I got my rejection letter from Toi Whakaari today frown I'm sad, but I do have a backup plan. I'm still going to Wellington and I'm still going to be studying what I want, and also some French and Greek.

Even though I'm working lots, I never seem to have enough...

The Dresden Dolls are coming to NZ and I can't afford to go frown I'm so gutted.

I have to brush up on my road rules because I'm buying a scooter! A girl at work recently bought a car and doesn't want her scooter anymore, so I told her if she gets it fixed (minor plastic stuff covered under her insurance) then I'll buy it. I...

I'm getting my hair braided this wek. I'm slightly worried as to whether or not it'll suit me, but it's too late now!

I'm starting to panic about finding monologues for my two auditions for drama schools coming up in a few months. I really need to find some good ones and find them NOW. I'm also looking for some songs from musicals to sing....

When I was in high school we did "Brigadoon." It was then I learned how huge a project it was to put on a play. I also participated in a few dramas in college just for the fun of it. I even got to be on stage and mouth a few lines! Whether your going for a career or just a hobby, "Hals und Bein bruch!"

Go for the braids! You've got to try things, for that's the only way you'll learn your limits. No matter how old you get, there's always something new to test you. Live!

Braids are kool.. Pretty heavy if getting extensions, but being winter, no swimming, nothing worry about as long as not one for migraines
Wanna see pics love
All the best your auditions!

I took out the remaining piercing from my industrial today frown I'm so sad but it had to go. It was hurting way too often and it had migrated a little. It definitely wasn't on the angle it used to be. Now I just need a new (full-time) job so I can afford to get it redone on the other side, plus the rook piercing I...

I am alive.

Socks and I have settled in nicely at the flat. I've developed elite fire starting skills over the past week and a bit as it has been fucking freezing. The other day we had a 11.8 degree frost. I heard on the news Aucklanders were moaning about a 2 degree frost. Pfft.

This week has been rather adventurous. On Tuesday night I...

People are the same the world over, I guess. I worked at a Barnes and Noble bookstore, and occasionally a thunderstorm or ice storm would knock out the power. Of course the computers would go down, and we'd be faced with scowling customers. Right off we developed emergency procedures to keep the line moving. Out came pocket calculators and pads of paper. Hilarious! It's amazing how many people don't know simple math nowadays! "Um? How do I take 20% off of this item?" Cracked me up! The customers couldn't say much, because they were dumber than the clerks, and I don't hold it against the clerks much, because their nervousness was understandable. A 6' tall, 300 pound grouch can be very intimidating!
