Now, when I get a thought in my head, I see it through and sometimes to a fault. I can also be very spontaneous and see not-so-good ideas out on a whim. I carry this on to my work ethic. When I get a job, I want to complete the task. I don't like to be taken away to go fix this or help with that, but inevitably, it happens.
Though I have only graduated my apprenticeship 6 months ago-and this is my first job as a Journeyman Wireman-I have been foreman a few times, filling in here and there. Prior to tonight, all of these times were on day shift. Nights are a whole other beast. Granted by "beast" I mean a loving puppy named Hulk. As people described it to me, I was kind of wary about the shift. Now that it's been a couple of weeks and I've gotten my sleep schedule corrected, I realize there are a lot less eyes at night and it's much more laid back. We work steady, but no one stays on your back. Damn it feels good to be a foreman. I'm making nearly twice as much as I normally would, so fuck yeah.
This is a complete 180° change from being on a date with the male and female kind of self-prescribed medication of the insuffulated variety for a few months. So I'm a little behind on bills, and could use the extra money.
But hey! While all of my men are at work, I'm getting paid to do my first blog here and hang out with my digital acquaintances!
