So it's been a while since I last ranted about things and let you know guys know the sounds that currently bouncing around inside my cranium. Work related dramarama first, apparently the "credit crunch" is starting to effect things at my delightful place of work with sales apparently down around 3% due to "a decrease in profile" as the company waffle puts it or in...

Seems like a lot of people only look at sets occasionally...
I know I don't comment a lot on your blog either, but it's still nice when we do it once in a while. smile

See I could see myself getting lost like that, but that's mainly as I don't know that end of Leeds.

Probably just find my way back to my office in Queens Square and die there until work time lol.

So I went out the other night with a few friends down to the not-so-local. It might not seem like a lot to some people but I appreciate going out even if it's just to the pub for a few drinks. Since my friend Mini was back in the land of Leeds for Easter (she goes to uni in Manchester) it was ideal for a...

Yes, you could easily be a music journalist.

You already write great reviews.

Heck, it doesn't even have to be music, you write really well period.

We have a Nutrition Facts label that's mandatory on all food here. But you have to watch the serving size. One example is a can of iced tea. The can is 500-and-something mL, but apparently I'm supposed to only drink 200 mL at a time. I just can't imagine that I'm the only one buying this product and actually consuming the entire thing at once.

This girl at work - she's given you an opening to ask her out.

Don't worry that you have different tastes in music, movies and such.

So I got a new book the other day "I fought the law" by Dan Kieran and I have to say it's definitely one of the more thought provoking things I've read in quite a while. The idea behind the book was to research the many bizarre obsolete laws that can be found if you look for them a good example being that it's still...

Hello. smile
Denmark was great. The weather was mostly ok, a few days of rain but I haven't seen rain for a long time so it was okay. It was great seeing friends and family and go shopping and horse riding and stuff like that.
Yeah, tattoos are great, and thank you for that compliment. smile

Hey there!

Sorry for being so out of touch.

I've caught up on your entries.

And this current one - wow!

I don't really know the politics of Britain, so I can't intelligently comment.

I mean, I know some of the basics, but not enough to debate anything.

I'm glad your store has a new manager. Maybe your job will improve?

Okay, probably wishful thinking.

Yay for the new computer!

And for getting rid of Norton.

Years ago I had Norton, and it was decent. Then I upgraded to the then-new version, and I couldn't move fast enough to get rid of it. It slowed my system down noticeably.

I did a bit of research and found PC-cillin and have been happy ever since. It does everything it needs to do, barely ever makes itself known, and is always up-to-date.

So this evening has been somewhat surreal it has to be said, I was supposed to be going to see Cloverfield only things didn't go quite to plan thanks to some chav scrote deciding to "have a go" at the bus driver. In my time I've seen some rather bizarre sights but I don't think I've ever seen anything quite as odd as witnessing a...

In other news I've had the week off from my rather awful job and what's it done pretty much nonstop for the last 7 days that's right rain as in in the biblical God's cleansing the filth...

So I got a shiny new laptop the other day to replace the creaking and quite annoying thing I was using.
I got it the other week from Curry's whilst I was killing time on my dinner break just browsing at the different
models they had there. A salesman type approached me and unlike the several other sales people he didn't have the look of...

Bloody hell, are you made of money or summat?! wink My creaky desktop is approaching it's sixth birthday, but I'm reluctant to buy anything new coz a, I have so much stuff on this hard drive, and b, keep hearing bad things about Vista. We have Vista at work and to be honest, I don't think it's too bad. How are you getting to grips with it? smile

You getting nervous then? wink
fullmoonkisses:
To be honest, it does sound like something's cropped up, but after the amount of texts you'd already recieved, I too would have expected more of a response. Maybe it's something she doesn't feel comfortable talking about? But I know just how you feel mate - when me and Dxx started seeing each other about 14 years ago, I used to lie awake thinking of the next time I'd see her. I was off my food too! So keep the faith and things will right themselves. And my xmas is sorted - dayshift xmas day, dayshift boxing day, dayshift new years eve and nightshift new years day. Woop-de-fucking do! mad What you got planned then? smile

I was going to let everyone know what I got up to on my week off but I was a little distracted when I found out about this Leeds Corn Exchange to become "premium dining destination". Finding out the place of many of your memories from younger days is being gutted by a faceless corporate entity to turn it into some shitty overpriced stuck up...

When I lived in Toronto, I hung out sometimes at a goth/punk club.

It's now a Starbucks.

I read your last entry.

I'm confused by the disciplinary hearing. Are you saying that your employer doesn't allow people to have days off sick? That's bizarre.

You need to post more pictures of food you've made.

It all looks so delicious. I haven't had Yorkshire pudding in about 20 years. It's not very common here.

What show is Jodi Lyn O'Keefe on? I don't think I've heard of her.

The new management company there have been booting the small businesses out for the last two years, using really really shitty ethics along the way. Someone I know lost their business because of that company and has had to go bankrupt. It's shit. Unfortunately though it has been so run down by bad management that the little independant companies there can no longer afford the rents and aren't getting enough custom.

So while I was in Leeds the other day searching for ideas for Chistmas presents I quite literally stumbled across the work of Steve Bloom who's stunning wildlife photography is pretty much all the evidence you need as to why we should stop destroying the earth before it's too late. Here's a few examples I though were particularly good. I think the pictures speak for...
