Tattoo After-care

So I finally got some new ink today on the inside of my forearm. Im totally in love with it!
Problem is I'm a pretty good hypochondriac. So I turn to you folks.
How do you look after your new tattoo? What does your artist tell you to do?

Thanks @ainslie youre a doll x thats the most common advise ive had so it seems to be the go.  So far healing seems to be going ok. :) :) Already want more hahaha

I have tried heaps of things, and discovered due to my naturally oily skin that creams don't do it for me, so I dry heal mine. I don't get it wet except for the 20 seconds in the shower once a day when I wash it with antibacterial hand soap (specifically I use just normal Dettol hand soap, not the foamy stuff).

So, here I am back again.
Hoping to get some free time to draw some more beautiful ladies and also looking forward to the sgau ball this year.
I'm in desperate need of some good hangs and down time. WOrk has consumed my life for what seems like.. 4 years non-stop.

Hahaha! When I started using my phone on site, I was accidentally posting all the time! Yeah, it's a totally different experience now, but even with the changes the community is still super awesome and accepting. I've always appreciated that. Oh, and I was showing your work to my wife yesterday and it turns out she was already following your Instagram too! She was like "wait, I know him!" I told her she has to buy my the last Piston T-Shirt. :D
