Hey Tahliana, I was in the community for a 10wk volunteer program. We worked with a youth company that was created in 1999 to stop young kids petrol sniffing. Its been almost 100% sucessful which is wicked! Spent my days helping out elders at the artist center and then homework centre with the kids after school. We had youth program in the arvo which was pretty much swimming in the new pool (funded by the government intervention money) and nights working with kids who left school and trying to motivate them to keep learning.

I'm going to Bishop, CA. It's high alpine desert, so not sand dunes and the like, although I did that last summer and absolutely loved it as well. Bishop has better climbing though.
