I love that feeling. When I'm mountain biking and I'm 10 miles out into the woods, drenched in sweat, feeling like a panther or a cougar bounding through the trees and over rocks. Like a fucking super hero. My heart rate monitor said I burned like 2400 calories one ride. I totally ate to make up for it though! Jeez. Or when I rode from Seattle-to-Portland, 200 miles in 12 hours over two days. You'd just get into this total zen state where you're so in tune with your body, in harmony, that it frees your mind to wander in ways it normally wouldn't. Introspective. Or sometimes it's even beyond that, and you just let every thought go, and you're only existing in that moment, no memory, no future, no worry, only keep pushing. pushing your body with all its got and kicking that hills ass or elliptical trainer or whatever it is that's ass you just kicked. 
I love that feeling.
