I actually forgot about SG for a week or so. Isn't that sad? And I come back and find that a SG had set of the day twice in one week. What are the chances?
Anyway, I've been occupied with my fitness kick and band stuff. Yesterday I called my trainer about 2 hours before my scheduled session and asked him to come with me to the supplement/protein/meathead store and help me pick out things. (I say meathead with the most respect). Now I have a bottle of hardcore protein mix and a pill I'm supposed to take twice a day. The guy at the store gave me some instructions, including diet, and suggested that I could gain 10 lbs in a month. To me that is staggering. I know that I've gained weight in my upper body, but to actually start to resemble a meathead is a scary thing for a guy like me. If I go out and buy a Tapout t-shirt, please kill me.
Second, I've been having band practice twice a week, although this week we're only doing once. We're making progress, and even making some changes to material we wrote over a year ago. A good example is the aptly titled "Untouched," which goes intro-verse-CHORUS-verse-bridge-solo-bridge-verse. And we realized it's kind of silly to only have the chorus once. I finally wrote lyrics to the last 2 songs, and they're called "Choke on Words" and "Everything Ends." I'll post some lyrics on here soon. We still need a bass player. The drummer situation is getting frustrating because we're all a little tired of going over the parts with Drew. Most drummers can either feel time, or count it out loud, and can do a drum fill while still keeping 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4. If he stays focused, takes a few lessons, and maybe increases arm and leg strength, he'll improve.
