Ok.
I don't post enough blogs.
Here's one, though.
Sometimes I move. I'm making him a northshore man. Poor guy. He's a toughie, though. He'll get used to the icky suburbanites and bad winters and shitty ass SUV drivers. I'm still not used to it.
Glenview, IL.

p.s. NOLA was fun. It'll be better as just a vacation spot from now on.

I was going through books while you were on the phone.
I'm thinking of giving my books 50 Hikes and Day Trips from New Orleans to Stef.
The Frommer's guide to New Orleans I may keep, just for kicks. smile

I'm so glad you had a great time!
I know I did. biggrin

Ok Ok Ok,

I know it's been a while (thanks Arg.) Sometimes when you don't have anything to say, you shouldn't say anything at all.
Truth is, I had plenty to say, just only in ways to myself. I was at a standstill in my life for a while. Searched, self discovery, while realizing I wasn't completely happy in the situation I was in and...

I saw this commercial:

It made me want to take it for a test drive:

I may need to brush up at a school first:

NOLA isn't going anywhere for at least 50 years.
Then it's going to be called New Venice or maybe Water World.
The city council is working on it.

mad love , baby!

Haha thanks for the set comment fellow designer!

Went to the Taste of Chicago over the past weekend. There's something incredibly fun about going to crowded events. Once you get past the initial agoraphobia, you realize you're only walking with sheep. Crowds like this bring out all the insanity of our society. Jesus Saves signs about on the streets entering the event, a Hispanic Jesus walking around in tennis shoes holding a cross...

It's been 9 months since opening my SG account because I can leave tag comments on sets. I haven't left one yet. I'd probably end up losing it like some people...
It's also been one year since I went to Kansas to officially meet face to face. 5 or 6 years ago I was thought of as someone else.
My new paintings are of my...

I finally finished The Alchemist. It was one of those books I said I'd read before a million times but this time I picked it up and read it in a few hours.
Sometimes I feel like the woman in the desert. I know there's something else out there for me, but I can't help but feel that I'm not meant to be on this...

I'm in my new apartment and all is well. It doesn't even feel as big as they make it sound like. In fact, living with my roommate and one of my best friends, it almost feels like college again. I go out a lot more than in the months prior. I meet interesting people. I'm having a blast.
And I thought I wanted to do...

I had a very odd, vivid dream last night:

There was a great divide on the land and a lone man was standing on the ground as quickly it sunk and became a vast ocean. He swam in this new ocean for hours and hours and, as much as it time can tell in a single dream, days passed and he found no land in...

a fine distinction it is,
that which differentiates a man full of anger
from a man panicking at his vanishing options.
as i read this and thought how it could be chapter the second to the story i wrote about Archer a couple years back, the bonnie 'prince' billy song in the background:

"hey little bird
thank you for not letting go of me
when i let go of you."

hope the move goes well, hope yr feeling better.
truth is, all will go smoothly.
smooth as silver.

we'll always talk soon, one way or another.

Things I notice when I work with the wealthy:
I've seen the plastic and paralyzed faces to hide their age, but no one's fooled. Grimaces and grumps walk around and wish only to be left alone. Don't you dare cross their path or smile. I still smile and my intention is not to mock them. I'm better at smiling. Once in a while, however, someone...

She'll be applying to become a Suicide Girl. She's definately beautiful. She's also confident enough of herself and who she is as an individual. I know it can be a bit uncomfortable to take a step and reveal yourself physically, and I will support her in whatever she decides. It's ok to chicken out. It's ok to lay it out. I certainly wouldn't feel right...
