My band is playing our first show Saturday April 2nd at the Alamo House. yea!

Goodbye Minneapolis.

My band is recording our demo tomorrow. Are we even going to be ready? The person recording us doesn't listen to the music that we are influenced by, and for some reason that is really refreshing to me.
Christ this is going to be a busy week.

I can't tell you how good it feels to have just quit a job that I hate.

After the demise of First Ave/7th Street Entry, the Blackthorns (my band) also fell into the ruins. But now with the addition of a couple of my friends playing viola and drums and deciding that the banjo should always be chosen over electric guitar, we are back and will hopefully be playing our first live show in less than a couple of months.

Is it lame to have a benefit show for yourself? I am seriously considering this option but I feel really iffy about the idea. My cat got really sick about a week and a half ago and he racked up a very hefty vet bill for me. I don't know what else to do to pay off this debt so why not have a benefit...
