I don't even know. I've loved horror ever since I started reading Goosebumps at the age of 6. I get scared, I just really enjoy it. I also have kind of a morbid curiosity, so if I'm told that something's scary, I'll make a beeline for it. My favourite book is, at least partly, a horror story so potent people have had trouble sleeping in the same room as it. My favourite TV show has a page on the website TVTropes entirely devoted to things in it which are there to induce nightmares and another one devoted to the stuff that wasn't even meant to induce nightmares, but does anyway. There's probably something wrong with me.
I'm just curious; what do people think is going to pick up the Oscar gold this year? Personally, these are my picks. Quite a few of these are my optimistic, "in an ideal world" calls, and the rest are cynical, second-guess predictions but whatever:
