This has not been a good week. I don't have anything to say that sounds positive or upbeat. I finished reading a book called The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullmnan. It is part of the His Dark Materials trilogy which also includes The Golden Compass (aka Northern Lights in the UK). The book started off really slow, and it took me a good long time (think six months) for me to get back into it, but once I did it really took off and then I couldn't put it down. I am hoping to sneak out to the book store and pick up the last of the trilogy today.
I pulled the trigger on a touring bike that I am going to purchase and hopefully put some good mileage on over the summer. It is a Surly Long Haul Trucker, which is a heavier touring bike. But that is okay i am hoping to get some good hard riding done on it. There is talk about an overnight bike trip up to Cape Cod, or up to Plymouth, MA.
Outside of that I feel like I have a lot of personal drama going on at the homestead, the kind of shit that I am not really willing to talk about in an SG blog. But if you have any good vibe-y things that you can muster I would appreciate it.
Last thing, and this is the most important. I am a pretty unabashed fan of the SG photographer Pulse, she has a couple of sets up in member review that need your support. Seeing her sets live makes me happy, because she is awesome, South American, funny and a brilliant. So stop by the sets, leave some love, let's see them go live and then I will post a blog that is really happy and I won't feel like a big goof ball anymore.

Good choice on bikes! I was thinking of the same one, or a Kona. But I love all my vintage Schwinns. I havent started training yet, but I have started eating healthier I hope to see the differences that you have...
