Heard the VA Tech shooter's comments on the radio on the way to school this morning. After arriving to school, made the mistake of looking at the video he sent NBC. Went to the cafe to get coffee and a croissant, and lost it on the way there. Lost my composure, I mean. Been constantly on the verge of tears all day since then.
I didn't even know anyone who died. But I feel like the whole thing just sunk in finally, and I am so sad. I am sad for the victims, I am sad for the witnesses, and I'm even sad for the shooter. I'm just so fucking sad.

I think the whole thing is awful, but things like that never seem to bother me too deeply and I kinda feel like an asshole for it sometimes. You should feel grateful for being such a compassionate person, it's a very good quality to have.

It's terrible that the shooter is getting more air time than the victims.
