I was thinking about this again and I really think it's courageous of her to actually kill off characters - they are at war, after all, and to take out a high-end secondary character is pretty ballsy.

Ha - na, it's all good - it's part of being reasonably intelligent and interested, you want to share what you've figured out and see what other people have figured out so you can learn more and have other points of view.
Plus - it's alot of fun. And she really is a decent writer - and getting better.
Just as a compare and contrast - compare her to Tom Clancy - his first books were pretty well written but as he got famous he used his clout to hire people to write for him and bludgeon his editors into leaving stupid shit in his books so they'd be HUGE. Whereas she's kept the process to herself writing her own books (if I'm any judge of style anyway) even tho it might slow things down with all the publcity stuff she's got to do, etc.
Of course they're both richer than the Queen right now, but anyway.

Yeah, I think I'll be saving the Midnight Madness for the movie in November as well. That Friday night we have a kick-ass SG get-together in Dayton, and I just can't bring myself to ditch it! So I'll just go down the street to Borders and get it first thing in the morning.

I know not how one becomes so great at limbo; it is an innate quality. You have to be able to bend backward for one. heh. One trick I learned through experiences is that sometimes you have to walk under the limbo stick simply by moving your feet. I don't know how to describe it, but you kind of alternate your toes and heels, which moves you forward. and then of course you have to keep your center of balance around the hip area (for guys anyway). heh. anyhoo . . .
