do be do be doooo . . . had fun tonight. I just sat around watching movies in Steph's room. Ordered pizza, nice normal stuff. 'Course I haven't actually gotten anything done lately, but hey, who really cares. I'll have plenty of time to panic tomorrow. At least I'm not having a mental breakdown anymore. er . . . at the moment.

Still need to...

*thailand* is very inexpensive and there is so much 2 see and do. phuket beach will not disappoint you if u want 2 relax and get away from guam (which is rather dull, i've been there 3 times, but who's telling you right!)

*hong kong* is a great country, though it can be a bit expensive depending on what u are looking 4... but if u want 2 experience the best of chinese culture without going there (i've been to shanghai and zhanjiang, nothing to get excited about) then that is a good place 2 start

good luck... i've been all over asia so if u want more, recommendations/opinions/horror stories, i'm more than happy 2 bore u with them

blackeyed ahh, I love the feeling of everything piling up around me, waiting for the right moment to collapse and bury me. Can you tell that it's the week before finals? All of these papers to write, and the layers of bullshit is getting a bit deep, I can really smell it when I walk into class. I need to actually get something done, except that...

Well I can't go to China but I have decided that I'm going to use the left over money to go Somewhere. I just have to decide where, and when. Maybe I'll go back to Bali for a month. It's really cheap there so I could probably manage that. I am not going to waste my travel opportunities here! Gotta go pay for my dorms...

So . . . I'm not going to China after all. My deadbeat dad, who promised me he would pay for my dorm room, has lived down to my expectations again. No money from him and the housing director is threatening to evict me if I'm not paid in full by the end of next week. I'm just glad that I do have the money...

Damn, I've become really lax in my updating. I just don't seem to have much to say these days. I'm really homesick, which means I actually want to go back to Indiana. Never thought I 'd say that. I hate being stuck on this godamn tiny fucking dirty ass island surrounded by obese, unattractive, morons, and navy boys.
Sorry, had to get that out.
Anyway,...

I just wrote this long post describling how I came back to the same shit thatI was really hoping would disappear while I was away. and how Everyone keeps asking me about my trip and I don't really want to talk about it, 'cause I've been answering that question for the past week and a half. Then I hit the wrong button and accidentally...

"About a dozen studies have shown that religious people tend to share other personality traits, although it is not clear whether these arise from genetic or environmental factors. These include the ability to get along well with others and being conscientious, working hard, being punctual, and controlling one's impulses."

Could this be the reason that the "meme" of religion has spread so widely? It is...

Learning a new language is like writing with your left hand. At first its awkward, and slow, and no one can tell what you're trying to express, but eventually things start to become legible. And then . . . poetry.

Well I'm back from Bali. I was an interesting trip, educational. It's made me reconsider my going into the peace corps, and has hardened my resolve to go overseas for language imersion.
I ran into Sailor Steve at the bar tonight, reinforcing my idea that no Steve is a good Steve. I've come across alot of bird imagry lately, first buying the Garuda mask in...
