So...Facebook and Twitter...
I don't mind Facebook. In fact I kind of life Facebook and I've used it the way it probably should be used - to get back in touch with people I'd drifted away from and bring them back my way a bit. Or take a step towards them. Whichever way. Whatever works.
But now that tweeting has become an actual part of my job I fucking hate Twitter. Having to post stories onto a newspaper Website so people can read them is one thing. Spamming followers on a daily basis and making the leap from journalism to PR whoredom is another matter altogether.
It's a complaint I've been making for the better part of a decade now, but I wish my company's Webmaster would do some actual Webmastering, instead of just designing something that goes nowhere every couple years and making myself and a couple others keep it updated with content you have to jump through flaming hoops to find.
Tweet it yourself, fucker. I have other shit to do. Yeah, it doesn't take that much time to do...but I sometimes wonder if our Web guy does anything at all on a daily basis.
