Happy late 4th, everyone!
So, I have gained roughly 15 lbs since I began working out at the gym. It's a combination of getting back into the bad habit of eating and drinking unhealthy, dropping cardio, and focusing on weight lifting... Luckily, I still have some good endurance from the constant weight lifting, but hitting the club just isn't the same...
Why? My cardio sucks, so trying to spend an all-nighter dancing just isn't gonna happen. Let alone, I think I had lost interest is hitting the glass cactus. I love the place, but I have not seen a live band there in a while. Live music ALWAYS gets my blood boiling and makes me want to dance, especially if the band plays disco. It's not just the lack of variety, I'm getting bored of the place, generally. The staff is great, but I'm tired of meeting people from out of town. Nothing against them, just want to meet some locals. Make some new connections and such... Ah well...
Got horribly addicted to this board game called "Zombicide". Classic is great, but I have fallen in love with the Black Plague version. medieval Fantasy with zombies, monsters, swords, and magic... So awesome. I have been buying bits and pieces of the Kickstarter kit off eBay... getting playable characters like William Wallace (braveheart), ash and evil ash (army of darkness), Ned stark (GoT), etc... Game was already fun as hell, but more playable characters makes it far more exciting. Love that game...
Same group who made Zombicide is finishing up a Kickstarter, this week, for a D&D style dungeon crawler that uses cards to determine all the enemy events. It's called Massive Darkness, and it's super awesome! They will make it crossover with Zombicide for more characters and monsters, should be great.
