As an ex-Army National Guard cook, I can definitely say we trained to cook some pretty sweet meals, but rarely ever did we make anything quite amazing unless it was a holiday feast or because someone of higher rank was visiting the armory. It kinda sucks because I dig cooking and really dig eating so to get stuck with a little too many variations of potatoes and other simple meals that were just too similar from day to day just plain sucked.

Well, here's to (hopefully) more good meals for reasons other than poison or entertaining the big wigs!
