Crypticon season is fast approaching (Memorial Day weekend at the airport Hilton in Seatac for those interested) but I've taken a slightly lesser role with them. It sounds bad to say it because I love all the people I work with but it's difficult to put all your hard work into something only to see your efforts ultimately not bear fruit. It's like Jack's parents...

Merry belated Christmas and happy holidays. I'd have got on and done it a lot earlier but I've been sick as hell and these late insomiac's hours are the only instance I can find the time.

Little known fact: I spent more on Xmas decorations this year than Halloween decorations.

True story.

I am not really sure what "found objects" are. I dont find all of these by chance. Some I buy on purpose. I want to paint everything near my reach. I think this is just decoration what I am doing there. tongue

If I have to read another blog about how "turkeys are sensitive, social animals" I'm going to go off my fucking nut. Don't believe the hype, it's all just pseudo-science cooked up by PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk and regurgitated by all of their apologists. There's no data to back it up. Consider the source. You see someone who normally can't string together a coherent sentence...

Turkeys are delicious. They're pretty much like most barnyard animals: either nasty or stupid or angry and stupid.

In two days time I will be in Sacto for this. It's still hard for me to believe when I think back on it how far we've come at the Derby Deeds podcast in such a short time. It was only five months ago that we recorded the first one. And now we've been asked by DNN to participate at this year's Western Region...

Anyone remember Ministry when they sounded like this?

How sad is it that I do?

Al's feelings on this incarnation of Ministry are well known. I actually really like them. But then then what do I know, I'm a guy who can see the relative merits in Valor's Christian Death and Graves' Misfits.

The podcast is now in its 14th episode. We have some...

So I trust you all voted. I'm not about to lay on the guilt trip about "doing your duty as an American" or anything like that. I was just asking.

And it got me to thinking, we're a much more likable country with a Democrat at the helm. On the other hand we also get a lot less accomplished. So I guess you take the...

On Wednesday I stood up in front of a room full of mourners and paid my last respects to my friend and coworker of 3 years. First friend of mine I've ever had die. Unquestionably the hardest thing I've ever had to do. But at least now the bar is set so high that everything else will pale in comparison.

You will not take Divine's name in vain! He was a great man.

I do feel strange about this cholesterol thing. Means that the veins are well lubed, I suppose.
