Hello all you folks!

Well, it sure has been a long while since this space has had something new in it. Montreal was fucking fan.tas.tic. Beautiful people, excellent food, delicious beer, and good pot delivered straight to your door by the one and only Hell's Angels (I shit you not!). Everyone is more or less fluent in French and English which made me feel like...

Hello, I am in Montreal, Quebec at the moment. More precisely, I am in the Plateaux district. An old friend going to grad school here decided to use some student loan money to fly me up for a visit. God bless government money, and also bless the french fries here, they are very tasty.

Hope you are all well. Off to explore!! Poutine for all!

Hooray for decongestants and medicine-head.

Let's see. My roommate's show with Erase Eratta went well. I have no pics because I forgot my camera like a dumb-head. There were many run-ins between various peoples. Some friends were getting dropped off in front of the venue when they got rear ended by some crazy Volvo driver (no offense to you Volvo drivers out there...but you gotta...

So the other night my friend convinces me to drive him and his lady friend to a "remote" bar for some going-away shindig for people I don't know. Sweet.

So north we drive, up to and under the Carquinez bridge, along some windy ass road by the water, to the turnoff which we were convinced we passed miles before, to the bar at the END...

I think the horrible burned out shadow thing would be a mark, on your heart or memory or soul or wherever, of the pain that person caused. There it is on the wall, me at 16, burned by so-and so. Next to that is me at 18, burned by someone else. The silhouettes are each a portrait in your mind of yourself as a different person, a person you once were. You can stack them and make a flip-book... watch the progression to your current state. As for the button-pusher, who cares? It isn't about them. Self-knowledge being the only true knowledge, etc.

+It's the end of the summer and we're all in love!

+I've been getting these strange urges to become a dairy farmer.

+My roommate's band is opening for Erase Eratta soon. I'm so happy for him.

There has to be some kind of connection here.

hello.

I had a funtabulous yesterday. Spent all day with the spectacular girl with big brown eyes...*le swoon*. We hung out in a book store reading magazines together then we saw Napoleon Dynamite. so. fucking. funny.

Later the crew was round up to bike to the warehouse district for another sweaty warehouse art show/concert thingy.

While it seemed like a great idea at the time, this...

a cricket has taken up residence in the wall just outside my window. its constant chirping brings the image of someone grinding out keys to my mind. it is cutting through the sound of the freeway across the street.

also, i think i'm falling in love. well, i don't want to be too hasty, but i'll be damned if i don't feel exactly like-----love....
