So, I should be reading Foucault and Spivak at the moment, but my life has been oh so exciting for the past five weeks that I thought I should write about it.
I heart George Stocking. I'm taking a reading course with him, and he's fabulous.
I'm seeing a psychiatrist now. I thought I had ADD, but I probably don't. I do have issues with
a) distractability
b) memory
c) expressing myself verbally
d) social anxiety
My psychiatrist is really cool, but she looks just like one of my least favorite people in the world, which is a shame.
Amanda and I right now are planning on having a picnic/drawing/reading day in the park wearing poofy prom dresses. And then taking lots of pictures. Should be fun.
Em and I went to the March for Women's Lives last weekend. We decided at 5 am friday night that we were going. We got very little sleep and spent way too much money but had a lovely time. Saturday (the day we flew out) was our eight month anniversary as WELL as Barbra Streisand's ummmm 62nd (?) birthday. Our fancy anniversary dinner was spent at a McDonalds in the suburbs of Maryland. It was a "Little Plastic Castle" moment--people stared at us like we were freaks, especially when we asked for cheeseburgers without meat. And it took them 40 minutes to make them.
The march itself was kick-ass. I don't feel like I can describe it all now. Must read. I'l talk about it later.
