SG attempts to restrain California competition through bogus, and unenforceable contracts and threats of litigation

This is a simple issue under California law for two reasons. First, the contract does not contain a "negative" covenant not to work elsewhere. Those exclusivity contracts without such a provision are, and have always been in all jurisdictions, unenforceable. It dates back at least to an English case called...

Memo re: Dusty and Sicily

SG is a greedy site -- anti-competitive.

Hasn't it made enough money? Guess not.

"oh well. People make all sorts of assumptions, and assertions, without having any idea about who they are dealing with, or the tone with which a comment was intended (on the internet). "

I'm not defending Missy, because I do not have any of the information at all, and am not willing to make assumptions when I do not have facts, but, I saw that quote that you made in reference to something else, and thought that is was applicible here.

There are all kinds of details I have no doubt none of us are aware of, and the reality of it is, we never will.

The Chief Justice has passed away. Let us bow our heads out of respect.

When I think of him, I think of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet:

"When he shall die take him and cut him out into stars and he shall make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no worship to the garish...

So....

Two weeks ago I made a (girl) friend on the net. She was bi, and we were clearly attracted. She also was interested in women. Being a good friend, and since we had the same type (of woman), I pointed someone out to her.

They started chatting. One thing led to another. And now they are in love -- well, to the extent that...

One SG (with a wishlist) has suggested that buying someone something on their wishlist is inappropriate.

Really a bizarre interpretation of such a nice gesture, of little serious consequence (who can be bought for a $15 amazon book -- it's just being nice, particularly if it comes from someone established in life).

oh well. People make all sorts of assumptions, and assertions, without having any...

It's not inapprppriate - it's just that we are not allowed to "solicit?" gifts form our wishlist... we can thank you kindly for them once they have been purchased - but we really can't discuss any thing before that. That's my understanding anyway - and there are some very strict rules in place concerning "wish lists" and "gifts" smile love

it is so true. people do make all sorts of assumptions. it's the best we can do. we grasp at a full idea of a person when all we have to build it with are words and pictures. and sometimes the exchange of money.

thank you very much for the wonderful comments in the e-mail and in my journal on my recent sets. i am glad you liked them so much.

i hope you find what you're looking for.

Seems your making the rounds asking girls if they want stuff... do you really want to make friends that way> don't you think that it would be nicer not to buy your way in but actually take the time out to get to know people first? MOney is such an easy way out, and hten those whom say yes.. is that the kinda of friends your interested in? let them like you for you not your wallet! Sugar Daddy's are creepy!

You are in San Francsico for a convention (Linux). After a day at the Moscone convention center, you ask the cab driver to take you to the Castro (where all the gay bars are) instead of back to the hotel. He takes you there, and you see all sorts of gay people, including lesbians dykes and otherwise.

You walk up and down the street and...

I wonder the correlation is between actual face picture and feedback. I guess I should think about posting a pic, but I'm reluctant. Only those I know I guess.

I wish they had a way of voting online on SG. That you could embed in your journal entries. Perhaps it can be done but I don't know.

Off to the Delaware shore with friends tomorrow...

I need a different career. Any suggestions?

I've tired of the fighting with other lawyers, whatever its other merits.
