I'm in a last-minute surprise art show this weekend. I found out about it yesterday, the pieces went to the gallery tonight, the show opens tomorrow and everything comes down Sunday! I'll be showing up to six pieces - an installation, a quilt and four framed collages. These pieces haven't been exhibited since my show at Fools Foundation last May.

WHAT: Um, I...

I already requested a second opinion and a new doctor. They're putting a rush on my labs and having a second doctor take a look at them and review my charts so we'll see. My docs bedside manner was just terrible and I filed a complaint almost as soon as I left.

Last week a coworker loaned me a DVD of a documentary called Harlan County, USA. I was just a kid when it came out in 1976. I'd heard of it but didn't know much about it.

It floored me.

I grew up in the anthracite region of Pennsylvania and I come from a long line of coal miners, steel mill workers, foundry workers and...

To...

No doubt it'll get better, just sorta bummed about being stupid and feel bad for hurting her and me...

Love your description by the way wink.

Whoa. I almost went into cardiac arrest on the Bay Bridge once. It was good times.

Bleach + hair = endless possibilities. I just got a cheapo manic panic kit off ebay and did it quick, in like an edward-scissorhands-type inspired frenzy. smile

Doug and I had planned this Turkeyday ride for weeks. I'd been salivating over our destination, Skaggs Spring Road. All our gear was ready. The weather report was perfect: "sunny and seventy." What could possibly go wrong?

Doug showed up on the Triumph after breakfast, and off we went. We stopped at a gas station in Winters then headed west on 128. The only...
