So...

I got a friend request from my high school girlfriend on facebook.

This was kind of a crazy girl who left me with ulcers at 16 years old, because we had such a roller-coaster relationship, and I am not someone who is well suited to that.

This eventually ended in a break up, which ended with her faking a pregnancy and eventually faking a...

It had a been a long week working at the warehouse, overtime every day and even a full double shift on Wednesday, and today, Friday they all worked till 9pm just so they wouldnt have to come in on Saturday.

Tom and Pete were spent, but were not ready to go home, the Tom to his wife and Pete to his apartment that he shared...

I've never seen that version. I do like the original though... it has a homey feel to it being in 8 bit design. It's like watching my childhood and adulthood intermingle.

And we need to find a super ability for you...
arien:
Either one to the magic.

Yes, the 8 bit one is the original. From 8 bit theater. Yours is fan based with the same sounds. But it makes sense that whatever you saw first would be your favorite. It's a good memory that isn't quite the same with a different version.

Ok. new post in order to clear out the sad post I am tired of seeing.

So what to write about? I will copy what appears to be the theme this week and talk about Valentines Day.

My wife and I are not super keen on it, but we generally acknowledge its presence. Normally we have 'fake-valentines' the weekend after, and go to a nice...

I don't know about that. I have applied to jobs before without having a vehicle and the woman complained that I had "wasted her time" since i didn't have reliable transportation so I don't bother applying and I did have reliable transportation... its called the bus and public transit... millions of ppl use it everyday because they can't afford a car.

Just found out a guy I know died. I am not sure of the circumstances. We weren't even friends, really. I had not seen him for either 6 or 7 years, but I can still feel the affect. I am friends with his brother, and really only a second or third string friend, but not sure if I can imagine his pain. . But Nick,...

It's always sad and upsetting when someone we know dies. Whether it's someone we love or like I said just someone we know. In he last few years I had 2 people who I was casual friends with (but hadn't spent time with or talked to in a few years but would say hi in passing or hear about from mutual friends) pass away. Both were sudden and they fortunately did not have a serious addicton like this person you know. So I'm very sorry to hear that.

I was joking about the whole reading my blogs thing. I assume you all have lives outside of SG. If nothing else I'm glad if my boobs cheered you up if only a little bit.

Take care.
briscoe:
i had a similar experience a couple weeks ago, a (not very close) friend's twin sister was murdered. i'm sorry you have to go through it as well. as Raynne said so well, it's difficult when someone who has touched our lives dies, no matter how tangential they were in our everyday life.

as for my own personal demon, i agree wholeheartedly. i only wish i could be present to enjoy said punishment.

Dog and Cat have a Chat

It was a hot summer day in the back yard. Cat as he often did laid on branch of the olive tree, while dog, as he often did, laid in the sparse grass but plentiful shade beneath it.

Cat said, "stange, isn't it?"
Dog said, "What is strange, Cat?"
Cat Said, "Well, do you ever think about the humans...

It was a modern city, with hoverrails, floatcars, and five Olive Garden Restaurants. In the downtown area the buildings stretched quite literally into the clouds on many days, but in the midst of all the technological wonder there was 1311 67th st, which was an ancient five story stone-facade building which looked remarkably out of place in the mirrored and steely urban splendor.

It was...

Once there was a minotaur named gary. Gary wasn't much of a do-it-yourselfer, but every year Gary did file his own tax returns, as Gary didnt have enough deductions to file a schedule A and took the standard deduction, and also its difficult for a minotaur to get good service at H&R Block. Not that the accountants were particularly rude, but they tended to ask...

thank you for the awesome comment!

but if Gary had not been so preoccupied due to the lonely state of his tax returns, perhaps he would have been more able to defend himself.

Bears are dicks, apparently.

Loved the story. biggrin

Once there was an ant and a grasshopper. The Grasshopper was lazy, but the ant was a hard worker.

The grasshopper liked to smoke marijuana and lay around watching those really god-awful shows like "ghosthunters" for hours on end, and hung out in mission beach a lot hoping to get in fist fights or at least see a fist fight.

The ant, however, worked very...

I would like to point out, even though I am 100% sure no one would read this that I am now a 6th level cubicle drone, skipping 5th level entirely.

Three more levels and I gain followers. I hope I get a copper dragon.
