I'm still pissed at work. It brought me to tears twice Wednesday, among other things. Basically, the people in charge are fuckwits who have no clue what they are doing.

Additionally, I'm really fucking tired of people nitpicking the shit my department does. If we miss one homonym out of the four papers we're putting together, I think we're doing pretty damn well. I invite...

I'm sad to say I'm feeling frustrated, restless and disappointed.

My job isn't doing it for me any more.

We're redesigning - again. We have to be "out of the box." First of all, readers hate redesigns. Second, why are we wasting time and money on this? Third, upper management isn't taking our suggestions anyway so why bother? I mean seriously let's can the food...

Come up to BC. We'll buy a squid boat. But secretly we'll be pirates and raid merchant ships.

Well Gentle Readers, I've been naughty and left you without an update for awhile.

I will give you a quick run down, my little chickadees, with a bit of help from my health journal.

Around Feb. 6:

Thanks to everyone who checked out the blog about my department. The editor was rather mopey that his numbers weren't quite as high after that particular one. No...

My schedule is packed. I don't have an open weekend until like middle of March.

This last week:

Thursday
I had drinks at the Edison for the lovely Miss Koleeta's birthday. I thoroughly enjoyed discussing old timey movies with Mr. RazorShimmy.

But curse the man who gave Koleeta a shot of bourbon. Glad we made it home OK.

Friday
Disneyland with Koleeta. Thank...

I know how it is. Now that I'm not working at the piercing shop its gotten a lot tougher. We were thinking about going up to prom but unless big things change that won't be happening either.

Misha's willing to work out a payment plan if yer interested....

This weekend was boring in a way. My parents and sister were in town, which meant lots of eating and shopping. While having lunch at Wahoo's today I came to the conclusion that to nab the tall skinny boys of my dreams I'd have to be at least five inches shorter. How disappointing.

Apparently I was channeling those years above: "there were"? whatever

Anyhow, it's certainly not for everyone. My wife can't stand the stuff.

This weekend wasn't as jam packed at the last one, which is probably a good thing.

My lovely and amazing girlfriend, Mitzi, came over Friday night. She got to see where I work, which I'm sure was quite boring for her. We had dinner, watched a movie then went to bed and read. Saturday we had a nice brunch then got her computer squared away...

Friday I went to roxymonoxide's birthday party. It was a ton of fun, especially thanks to Anomalisa. She's a true inspiration in having fun. I'm just sorry I didn't get there sooner. We had two late files, but thankfully my coworkers told me to take off because we all didn't need to wait. I definitely owe them each a favor (although maybe not...

My "relationship" with requiem can be summed up in the following:

Last night, after bringing him a bowl of cookies and a cup of hot cocoa to him while he was reading in bed, he says, "Would it have killed you to warm the cookies?" He laughs like an idiot and has his "I'm so clever and funny" look then calms down and says, "No,...

Indeed, I encountered the same issue. When DVDs started hanging around for months at a time I knew it was only proper to cut ties.
toothpickmoe:
Oh, right, you can do that with Netflix now, can't you? TiVo has a similar thing. Between that and the stuff I can order from cable I guess I have enough options.

He is doing well. He is still a bit jumpy, and probably always will be. Casper loves his particular brand of neuroticism and he has actually become quite cuddly sometimes, so all in all, good things.

When we were in NYC it was 60 degrees. The next day it snowed.
We have weird weather here.
