errgh.

okay, okay. i do update now....

i saw acid mothers temple monday last week (10-10-05) and they we're awesome. maybe i don't mind songs going on on and on, and hitting the hour mark. maybe sometimes i do. anyways these guys we're so talented it didn't matter. it was like being a fan of a tri-athlon!! oh man, it becomes more about the stamina,...

No problem, nice to have you back. I'll probably be ditching my account before the next billing cycle because the music board has been kinda lame lately, and it's the only one I read.

Great aren't they?

Kids should be around music, I heard this fascinating thing on the radio recently about how they understand rhythm and beats from a very young age. My 11 year old sister has great taste in music, thanks tome of course wink

CHRIST IS A SAUSAGE!

i can't decide if i want to embrace the idea of being an anarchist of the proudhonian sense or remain a populist who adores orwell.

all i can be sure of this point is that on one hand you are in for an arguement, and the other you are in for some anxiety attacks....you know what, why miss out? i choose...

Hey..do you want an invite to www.indietorrents.com? I've got a couple left to give out. It's not bad, generally fast, all mp3s encoded at 192 or above etc, read reviews - you're just limited to what their users have put up, but it's still useful.

felt it was high time this morning to break the wife out the harmful spell of interior design show overdose and threw in bowie's diamond dogs album. besides, i needed some cooking music for the pancakes i was about to make. we could have swore the little guy was dancing for a brief stint as the opening chords of the title track played. he clapped...

ungha, ungha. what to say what to say?
well the kid is still kinda under the weather but i guess that is to be expected since we switched day care places on him. but i'm starting to feel that we're paying some people to get my kid sick so we can miss work.

enough of that though. i've got to show a little more topical...

...........and went well the jam did!! even matthew was ready and able to tear himself away from heavy house work to join me in meeting these fine gentlemen(thanks erin smile ) jeff, luke, and jerry were a blast to rock with and everything we busted out with was effortless. i'm talking straight improv that quickly developed into recognizable riffs and bridges. most of it sounded fun...

had an insanely great day with the youngerster while the wife was out getting that o.t. pay. we played and romped around while i played every jazz record we have in the house. he showed me that he can place, not just remove the blue hoop onto the spindle of his fisher-price toy. next step is the green hoop...you should be able to figure out...

Well.. Charles Mingus is probably my favorite jazz musician. I don't know if it's because the Black Saint and the Sinner lady was the first jazz lp I ever bought, when I heard it at a record store and was so smitted that I interrupted its play-thru to buy their only display copy. Maybe it's because he packs his music with so much damned soul and was about as passionate as a musician can get.

wow. had my first real day off since my pet young'un was a-birthed. meaning i had a whole morning to sleep in and a whole afternoon to dick around. watched a forgein movie that i didn't like at first (sex y lucia) but then it evolved into a interesting psycho-drama through it's mid-way and refreshingly had a somewhat happy ending as opposed to most european...
