Thank you very much.

My depressed Persian tow truck driver:

That message was amazing. ♥ I was actually out playing poker with neighbors! How hilarious is that!?

This weekend kind of blew otherwise. Yes, I got good pizza and poker was cool, but I missed my productive week of walking and writing. I can't wait for it tomorrow. ♥

What did you do this weekend?

The fights are gonna be great. I am watching the Brewers right now. Did you see the other two?
jena:
How do you use a Wii for internet access? I'm fascinated. Damn your internet troubles!

I love that you have a mid-week drunk day already planned. I'm suddenly not thinking of drinking since i stopped smoking.

Teenage Dad and Friday Mourning? Ok. Remind me later in case I forget. One b-side I've heard that I'm in love with is Ganglord. Holy shit, is that a good one. Intense.

I'm still working them over. I really miss my copy of the first Smiths album. Such a choice release.

How do you know he's playing This Charming Man? He doesn't have anything against Smiths covers...I told you, when I saw him he did Paint a Vulgar Picture and Shoplifters.........and exactly as they were recorded. Total bliss. He's a wonderful showman but you knew that.

There really hasn't been a good horror in ages. The Thanksgiving trailer in Grindhouse was the last for me, no?

I'll keep PP in mind whenever I cave in for Netflix again.
jena:
Drunk & listening to The Smiths sounds like a damn fine future plan.

"Oh the alcoholic afternoons.."

it's been raining and dreary for the past few days here which makes me want to listen to this song.

i could listen to the smiths for days on end, they literally never get old for me.

I fucking HATE it when your computer dies! Be well and come back soon.

Thanks for the compliment. kiss Miss you of course.
jena:
I'm not ok tonight.

I hope I'll pull through and I keep people like you in mind. You're one of a few, it doesn't matter that we've never met.

Love you, hope it's well. Some days are just harder than others. kiss

There are some really great stills here. I'm chomping at the bit. I wonder if my mother would enjoy this...she's my movie partner.
jena:
Mom doesn't like to think too much with her film is the problem and SNY requires SO much of it. She fell asleep during Magnolia and I BOUGHT it just for us to watch! frown

jena:
I have heard. Something along the lines of lots of "Fuck me, nigger!", eh? I didn't know there was a theatrical version?

On Boyle, what did you think of Trainspotting? I just dumped the Slumdog book in my shopping list, I think I would like to read it.

I do not think I will be seeing Watchmen. frown I bet you are though, right? biggrin I know it's intensely highly anticipated.

I'm still so mad that I did not get to see The Reader and RR. I was so accomplished this past Oscar season and shit, missed works with my favorite actors. frown

black ice my nemesis. so driving home from my friends house tuesday night i'm about 2 miles from my exit when i hit a sheet of black ice and my car slams into the guardrail. just perfect, the car is damaged but not not too bad, but i had to have it towed and it's gonna cost to fix it because it's an older car...

I never had the insomnia experience with Sparks. Orange tongue, yes.

Cranberry, huh!? Like Leonardo in The Departed? wink

I am not sure about this Ras/Sunny D combination! How did you come to make this discovery? I just like to stick to my diet tonic. I tend to like a clean taste. If I'm out, though I'll opt for Diet Coke since nobody carries diet tonic.

What the fuck is Repo about? Is it really a musical? I'm so stupid when I saw the first thread in film for it I thought "Oh my God. They remade Repo Man as an opera!?"

Wendy & Lucy got very good reviews. Find out what it's about.

You know I can't get Synecdoche out of my head lately. Very odd for a film to resonate so long after having seen it, when it didn't resonate the first time. Now it's slowly falling into place and I'm desperate to see it again.

My weekend so far has been centered around the visit of my sister from home. smile It's ladies weekend. Today is brunch, museum and Indian food. Ever heard of the Body Works show? That's what we're going to see. I hope I won't vomit.

Hope everything is good for you. smile
jena:
The cranberry period scene was so damn amazing. I loved French, too. Loved that whole movie. And I figured as much about about your cotton candy cocktail! At least you made yourself a kooky invention! If you were working in a restaurant, they give awards out for newly invented drinks. biggrin

Repo sounds awesome! Apart from musical, is it serious, scary, dark, funny, any of those? I will definitely make a point to see it and I don't normally go sci fi. Good sale, gentleman!

Yup on SNY. I can't wait until it comes to DVD. I remember freaking out over the trailer alone, I assumed it would be my pick of the year (this was before I heard about The Wrestler obviously) and saw it my second day upon arriving in NY...I don't believe it even came to this area of Florida. This place sucks shit for entertainment in general.

We ain't going to the museum now. It rained kind of hardcore this morning and got really cold and for some reason this makes me mother want to avoid it. whatever I don't care b/c I didn't want to see it anyway. Works for me. So now I don't know what our plans are.

What's up for your day?
