Updates once in a while don't hurt, I guess.
I've been busy the last couple of months and lately, life has been pretty great. I was so occupied with work and weekend recreation, that I did not find time to write a blog. Shame on me!
Here is what I did:
In April, I concured the snowy mountains of the Bavarian alps. Lots of hiking, taking pictures, freezing, starring into white nothingness in absolute silence and drinking lots of apricots-schnaps.
In May, I worked at the documentary film festival. Oh, was I tired! But again, there where so many great films and I had such a good time. In the middle of the festival, I had to go to the Cannes film festival for my other job. Yes, It's always possible to push your stress level a bit further. I litteraly got out of a Q&A, jumped on the plane and was in one instant big meeting in Cannes for three days. Back in Munich, I went straight to the office and from there, straight back to the next Q&A.
A vacation was needed and so my boyfriend and I went to Hong Kong. Because that's the best place to relax, right? It was a five days crazy, awesome trip and the hottest, most humid climate I've ever been.
Hong Kong might be my new favorite city. I would move there in a second. It's a magical place and I have so many pictures, I did just start to sort them out. There is so much to see, so much culture and tradition. Residential buildings rising high, out of the jungle. Tempels, designer shops, fancy bars and vegetarian chinese restaurants. The influences from mainland China, Europa, India, arabian countries etc. are everywhere. I have never ever been so facinated by a place. You can just hop on the subway, get off somewhere and you are in the middle of a whole different world, where nobody speaks english and buying a cup of tea is the hardest task ever. Jump on another train, and you end up on a roof top bar, surrounded by international bussiness men in suits.
Back home, it was film festival time again!
I actually got to see a couple of great films! Tokyo Tribe is crazy, go see it when you can!
The agency I work for had a nice Indie film running and we had fun at the premiere. Everything was relaxed and we had a great time.
Summer came with full force and is still quite enjoyable. Lots of hiking, swiming and diving. Apnoe-hikes are a thing now. You might get funny looks when you climb a mountain with fins sticking out of your backpack though. But it's a great way to show everyone how fucking cool you are.
Fingers crossed, that the weather stays like this and summer outdoor adventures can continue for the next five weeks, until my boyfriend and I are off to Indonesia. What are your vacation plans?
Love you all!
