Yeah, it sounds like she's just using you to make her feel better about her current situation. Not in an evil way, not to hurt you in the long run, just in the way people need people's support and comfort. I also really liked Garden State. I feel like I've seen and read a lot of stuff recently about famous people kind of returning to 'real life.' Or maybe it's just work directed at young people who have big dreams but would be happier with a smaller, more normal existence. Either way, I thought Zach Braff did a pretty good job with the film.
