Had to laugh out loud while watching this video! My nephew stealing his own bike:

tongue

Have been pretty busy lately. I started working again since two months after a 2 year break. I work as a pedagogic worker in afterschool care, something I did before. I really had to get used to working again and had some trobleswith finding my place in the team I'm...

Your engagement pic is awesome! Congrats! Planning a wedding is definitely a lot of work, and a lot of money goes into one day. Some days I want to just get a Justice of the Peace and do it in my backyard. But we're having family and friends from across the states come celebrate our day with us. We can't take that day away from them. It's almost as much for them as it is for us.

I'd never be happy just studying and reading, without being able to work in the field I'm studying. I have enjoyed teaching toddler and preschool in the past, but I'm ready to get away from child care, and into public schools. I am studying to become a teacher for infants through grade 3. I am also studying human ecology...basically, how the environment and an individual's development are interrelated and interdependent, based on the Ecological Systems Theory by bronfenbrenner. It's interesting stuff, especially for one studying education and pedagogy. I'm also interested in Early Childhood Special Ed. My college has special ed for the elementary and secondary years, but for some reason, Special Ed is not a choice. I think that's unfortunate for those of us who want to teach younger children who may also have special needs. I'd like to know why there are no public special ed programs for young children, just private schools that are not free. We need to work on that.

Anyway, I've been ranting. Best to you in your engagement, finding a home for the two of you, and planning the big day! And best to you in your educational/work endeavors.

Went to the festival Motel Mozaique last satuday. It was great! I especially liked Bunny Rabbit (US), Larkin Grimm (US), The Bloody Honkies (NL) and Heavy Trash (US).

I wanted to post some pics, but I found out I did something wrong in converting them so they loose a lot of color when placing them on the web. Will work on them again and post...

Just saw this documentary for the first time and I love it! It really got to me. I think it's a real shame that we don't have a dancing culture in The Nethelands like there is in a lot of african and latin counties. I love how everybody joins in it: Old/ young, tiny/ large, rich/poor (although mostly poor I think), it doesn't seem to...

It has been a while since my last up-date. I just haven't been in the mood to write.....

I'm glad spring has started. I need some sunshine!

I'm no longer photographing a lot, because I no longer enjoy working on pics. Don't know why. Maybe I'm less motivated because I decided I don't want to be a pro and am now focussing on other things....
