(Sorry about the blurry pics)
Over a month ago I went to get some hot tattoo work done by the talented
ymonster. I was also there to celebrate the anniversary and have a cheesy valentines day with the bf.
We stayed at three hotels on miles, the best of which where the Hilton Times Square and the Holiday inn which was in the best location, right in Soho near East Village.
My Dad was there for Toy fair so we hung out with him a lot.
There where several highlights;
The food! We dined at Smith&Wollensky as well as the Manhattan grille. Some of the best meals I have had in my life. Did you know that the use lobster as garnish at the Manhattan Grille? How can you not love a place that uses lobster as garnish?!
Hooters surprised; the girls where average at best, but the onion rings where A+, they where beer battered: I rest my case.
And of course I went to Taco Bell! I love the Taco Bell.
The following picture is of the sexy dudes who work in the Toy/Games industry with my Dad, these lovely men treated us to dinner at S&W;
We got to go to a Rangers game, Rangers vs. The Toronto Maple Leafs even! This was courtesy of the wonderful Conners, also working buddies of my Dad. They had a very yummy catered dinner at the restaurant in Madison square garden, Ande won a watch at the raffle they had. Hes a lucky bitch.
Got to ride in a slutty white limo to the hotel, thanks Dad!
The sexy view from our hotel room when we stayed at the Hilton times square;
Andreas hanging out with Rupert Jee;
The penis popcorn chicken at KFC;
NYC had the biggest snowfall in history and it was my first blizzard (we didnt really get a good picture of the snow seeing as we stayed in most of Sunday watching wonderful American tv)
Tattoos! Obviously the best part of the trip.
(To se better pictures go to
ymonsters journal or the Last Rites website)
Tim was awesome, he said I was tough but hes just being nice I was shaking like the proverbial leaf. I was also really mean to Ande, not that thats really different from any other day
I also got to meet my first SGs, the gorgeous Calamity and Odette, in real living color thanks to Tim, I feelt like a huge dork.
The reactions toward my tattoos have been very interesting. My Mom liked my back but not my leg, because it couldnt be hidden (?!). My Mom is odd. My Dad doesnt like the concept of me getting tattooed (I think he only says this to please Mom) but he loves the work and shows everyone he knows pictures of it. I find that funny as hell.
Quote of the trip:My theory is that cooking is all about putting different ingredients together Random cabdriver.
