24 6.6: "Day 6" 11AM - 12PM"
In the previous episode, I noticed a character shift that was very hard to reconcile. However, I wanted to give the writers time, to see if it was a momentary lapse or evidence of a horrible lack of consistency. Now that another episode has passed, I am more concerned. Some exciting and interesting ideas from the premiere have all but disappeared, and it has been replaced with new revelations that have yet to make good sense. After a strong start, I am now concerned that the "by the seat of our pants" writing style has already had its usual, disappointing result. Still, I will remain hopeful that this is a momentary lapse.

Overall, this episode continued the slow but steady exploration of the consequences of the terrorist attack earlier in the season. While the drama at CTU is thankfully centered on more realistic and topical concerns, as opposed to tired relationship issues, some character choices remain hard to reconcile. Also, the writers have abandoned an important element of the earlier episodes, which takes something away from the depth of the arc.
