It's one thing to be denied a job because you are completely unqualified for the position.
It's another to try and get a job doing the same thing you are already doing and you find out the person doing the hiring says "we have no need for someone with a (enter your degree here) degree".

Recently.
I do tech support for an internet provider.
It sucks, but it pays the bills.
I tried to get a job with another company.
My buddy already works there and was putting in a good word for me.
Next thing i know, he tells me that the hiring manager looked at my application and all he had to say about me was..."we have no need for someone with a film degree"....
Damn.
