I don't know whether I would say I prefer "chick" or "man" movies. I generally don't like 1) lots of computer effects, 2) sequels, 3) comic books... having said that, I would accompany someone else to Hellboy and I liked the first XMen okay.
I've seen my share of "chick" films, favoring the dialogue over the big-explosion-while-principle-characters-yell-"AAAAHHHH!!" I suppose I try to avoid Julia Roberts, if that helps.
I generally avoid Jim Carrey too, but coldengine might be right; this new one has some interesting people working on it.

I generally build up hatreds of movies I don't think I'll like, sometimes to an silly degree. While at my friend Chuck's once, he was picking Waiting to Exhale at the video store, since his wife and this other woman wanted to see it. I pitched a fit worthy of a 7-yr-old (I was 25) and he basically said, "Look, dude, we're at my house and we wanna see this." And he was right, of course. Irony was, I thought it was okay, everyone else thought it sucked.

Dude, you so f'ing rock. Know that i am always in the mood to get rude, and if ya need, i can be down to help ya thru the stuff like the calvary my brother.

It could be a lot worse than sushi (mmm . . . inari) and pbj's. I once spent a weekend living on jerky, combos, and chocolate.

The funny thing about the movie is that it has caused me, also a person who long ago stepped away from the hypocrisy (not sure I ever bought it in the first place), to ponder Jesus, his message, and its relative importance. I can't tell you how many discussions I have been engaged in since seeing it. Discussions that would otherwise have been about elections, music, or . . . good restaurants/cuisine! Ultimately I hope the movie at the least spurns discussions about anitsemitism and hate in general. Debate is healthy.

Himal Chuli and another restaurant, Chautaura (sp?) are both Himilayan joints in Madison. Himilayan food is sort of a cross b/w Indian curry and middle eastern yogurt/lamb type dishes. Great stuff.

My speedometer does that sometimes too. But it usually goes back to normal. Sorry i've been so bad about getting back to journal comments, i've been busy. But to answer your question, yeah, I usually try to make it to VA beach at least once a year, I've got some good friends there and of course my family. I'll be heading that way in July I think, my little brother is graduating from high school, and I gotta be there for that. I hope you have a great day.

Hey! I had a suprisingly good time at my families house. My dress should arrive there soon, so I'll have to go back and check for the necessary alterations.
