I've absotutely enjoyed the short time I've spent within the SG community! Although, I had known of the SG community for many years I had not been a member and admired from an extreme distance. Let's just say it was a poor life decision that resulted in me being unable to fully be myself. I decided to stop what I was doing and write this blog, because I'm very excited about the news I just received from a tremendous person.
This woman was the first real life, honest to goodness, flesh and blood SG (albeit Hopeful) I had ever encountered. I discovered her through the Hopefuls Periscope stream. I found her to be REAL, I could relate to her nervousness and genuine appeal while interacting with strangers. Fast-forward to the Blackheart Burlesque show in St. Petersburg, FL (November 2015) where I had the opportunity to meet her, other SGs, like minded fans as well as the SG performers.
I found myself being very nervous to even speak to her but I mustered up the nerve to approach and introduce myself. Because for me, she is and was a celebrity! I'm very confident in my personal and professional life but with women all bets are off. So to my surprise she was just as she appeared to be on Periscope and most assuredly approachable. We chatted a bit, all the while in my head I was dying slowly and looking for any reason to leave her presence because I didn't know what to say or do! I also had the pleasure of meeting her younger sister who was just as gorgeous and sweet, those are some good genes in that family. I tried to interact with her throughout the night but you know, I'm a dork when it comes to the ladies. Wouldn't you agree @dagnabit? Anyway, I digress.
Since the moment I met her, I've been a fan and huge supporter of this lady. So, for her to get the huge news (that is discussed often on her personal Periscope stream) and share it is incredible!
I'd like to congratulate @torie formerly known as @thattoriegirl on being the latest Hopeful to go PINK!! I find myself over the moon excited as if it happened to me. I'm proud to know her and call her a friend. Well, maybe "friend" is a strong term and maybe only in my head but she's the coolest.
