Happy Holidays to all!

I am at my parents house now after returning from a 4 month roadtrip accross the united states. I had a joyous time visiting all sorts of camping spots, exploring different cultures, and seeing the beautiful people and places this world has to offer. I visited some parts of canada on my way to Alaska and it was incredible. I will...

It's been too long.
I recently got back from vacation and realized how much of a negative person I am. I also realized how much of a philosophical anarchist I've become. I took notes the entire time I was gone as if I was about to take a quiz when i got back. I found myself writing down phrases like,
"poor little conformist, she doesnt...

It's been a long time since I blogged, but I have had plenty of experiences; just not always near a computer.

Vegan food experimentations include:
-Apple Dumplings
-Noochenaise -vegenaise mixed with nutritional yeast to make a delicious sandwich spread
-Apple Crisp
-Many more vegan pizza's with and without homemade vegan cheese
-Scrumptious breakfast rice- I know it sounds bizarre but it tastes like a rice...

So ive been really experimenting with a lot of new vegan food ideas. I make a lot of sauceless-cheeseless pizza and ive made several lasagna's, one with tofu riccotta. My bike has been broken and ive been fixing up a small gitane racer frame as my around town bike. My local bike shop guy fixed my raleigh sprite one week before it was supposed to...

So It's been a long time since I last posted, but I'm on summer break and I hadn't had my computer up yet. Finally today, after a month of procrastinating and job hunting I am back on the interweb. I've been riding my bike a lot lately. I recently purchased a 1970's Raleigh Sprite Bicycle for 75 USD and have been riding everyday since. It's...

I just had my second to last revolution radio show of this semester. I will post the mediafire link soon. basically, me and two other guys talk on the air about shit that needs to be covered, this time it was global warming, and the show went great. Thanks to all who listened.
para:
dude, that's awesome. i'll check it out.
i was thinking, in this day and age of fast and free information, I'd try and start a podcast with my sister or friend or someone about current events, activist stuff and, you know, issues we feel are relevent to the times. I assume you guys do yours on radio, how easy is that to set up/get going?
derkthecork:
Well, I'm just a part of my college radio station, you can check it out here, wwlr. I work there and do two shows, a punk music show and Revolution Radio. Most of my time goes into Revolution Radio. I spend a good portion of my week getting Interviews with professors and students about topic ranging from "Juvenile alcoholism" to "Who was worse? hitler or stalin?". Our main focus is how society and the media affect the minds of future generations and this current degredation of american society will ultimately lead to a culture collaps. We have basically come to the conclusion that almost everything can be blamed on MTV. Being a DJ and Production Manager, I have the ability to record all my shows and soon I will either podcast them or just upload them on mediafire.com. There is a WebStreaming Link on that site so you'd be able to hear us live, And we are on the air on wednesday's from midnight to 3 AM. Which I believe would be 9 to midnight for you. Next week is our last show. I think we are covering Global Warming some more and we will probably talk about police brutality and how the "american dream" prevents us from seeing any of the police's power abuse on tv.

I just came back from India. What an amazing experience!! I visited Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, the three most commonly touristed cities in India. We visited lots of forts, witnessed incredible traffic, and heard some amazing music. Jaipur was my favorite city to visit and not just because i spent new years eve there. I danced with a lot of homosexuals in jaipur, which made...
