There really needs to be a reroute feature for name changes when models go from hopeful to SG. I'm sick of not knowing who became who in the changeover.

Additionally, there should be something better than "404 not found" when a hopeful deletes her profile.

Also, we can't delete our hopeful profile, so I think you're looking for someone who changed her name.

@felicity Good to know, thank you. Still would be nice to have better website features.

Well... today brought some news I never ever wanted to hear: breast cancer for my mom, round 2. Its been 25 years since the last instance so this is a brand new occurrence at least and not a recurrence. Even so... one of my first memories in life is visiting her in the hospital after surgery to remove the cancer and her breast. Now the...

I've finally swung to agree with something others have been saying lately. That is the change in the feelings and culture surrounding SG. Several of my favorite models have left/been archived due to interpersonal conflicts. I'm very sad to see this kind of spat crap here, especially since it is hurting many otherwise promising and wonderful people.

And I don't get why people have to...

V for Vendetta is an amazingly powerful movie. The messages about fear are particularly strong.

"We need to remind the people why they need us!" -Chancellor Suttler

"The ultimate goal was the fear..." -V as Rookwood

So much of the media and actions these days are focused around using fear as a motivator. "Be afraid of guns; be afraid of gays; be afraid of x...

28 times around the sun I have been now. And life pulls its tricks again and again. Things change and stay the same. Life continues on.

I'm not one for making speeches or doing big celebrations around a birthday. Usually take it as time to reflect. And so much accomplished, so much still to do.

Just learned that a few hours ago the legendary David Ogden Stiers died. His portrayal of Major Winchester in MASH shaped my teens, and his voicing of many animated shows and guest appearances (like Stargate Atlantis) will never be forgot. And he lived in the town I often visit, lately for scuba volunteering.

So I wanted to share something here that I can't really share elsewhere, and fun to share anyway.

My martial arts master recently hit the mark of 25 years in practice, and in honor of this and his impact on the area and people I commissioned a special plaque thanking him for this.

The part that is my "secret" is I did this all on...

I havent gotten to spar with a proper fighter in too long... :(

@johnnycupcake13 If it has a lot of windup then it is a poor "finisher" (and taekwondo as basically/traditionally taught in my organization doesn't focus on "finishers". The art is the focus. That's also why the Krav and Jiujitsu has been brought in to make up that deficiency). And the predictability depends on the person practicing it too. I was recently part of a trial "black belt one-steps" drill where takedowns are a focus and the final step was to make our own. Of the 24 people partaking not one was the same.
