Here are some examples of Nico Claux's work
The works are obviously very tormented. Death seems to be splattered all over the canvasses; one can almost smell the toxic fumes of decomposing flesh, emanating from these. Claux is releasing, through his work. He is releasing whatever is occupying his mind. Some of the portraits have a certain artistry; the subjects, the worst that humanity has to offer (they're all serial killers) inspire such dread and the tableaux unfortunately do not do much to palliate this feeling. Especially astonishing is the one of Manuela Ruda, the German vampire who was arrested with her husband in the early 90s for killing their friend, supposedly on Satan's orders.
