So can you believe I havent blogged ages.

So something worth blogging about, Comic Con has finally come round again and what a show it was. Got there on the second day but have to admit it was still packed almost no breathing room to walk around. Alot of people embracing the Cosplay which was good to see.

Guests this year included Nick Frost, Randy...

So living in the UAE has its perks. When to see a customer yesterday and as part of their culture awareness campaign they were showcasing Falconry which is a big part of the UAE heritage.

I had the privelage of being allowed to stroke and even hold a Falcon a truely beautful bird and alot lighter than one would think. These birds can sell from...

So this is more of an observation than anything else and obviously with time these things need to happen... your all wondering what I'm on about.

Over the last few days I've been looking at the sets that go back to 2001 and 2002 when things had essentially just started here at SG. The quality has improved drastically over the last 14 years but... Looking...

I love raw photos too!!  There is just something about them.. we all have imperfections, no reason to hide them or "blur" them.  I mean that is what this site is about right?
dazza_za:
Yeah when pictures are to polished they almost look fake... Raw shows emotion...

So unless your living under a rock somewhere you would probably have heard of Cecil the lion that was shot and killed by the US dentist Palmer for $50 000. I'm looking at this from a completely neutral perspective and a non hunter.

Southern Africa is great tourist destination especially for hunting and wildlife, thousands of animals are hunted yearly in SA for biltong as...

The fact that he had to suffer for so long just isn't right! :(
dazza_za:
Agreed, like I said in the blog I'm not a hunter but alot of my friend do hunt mostly wild game for biltong and droewors but never let the animal suffer. 40 hours is a long time.

So living in Dubai has been a great experience. For one as most people living here will tell you safety is one of the key selling points of moving here. To keep myself active at night when its actually cool enough to go out I've invested in a skateboard... Yes you heard me correctly a skateboard.

Now I cruise along the walk at night... Old

So the time finally came... I attended Comic Con. Coming from Africa its not a thing that every happens there but now living in Dubai I finally got to attend.

I must say that it wasnt as big as the ones in the states and possibly the UK but have to say that I really enjoyed it. Got to sit in the Christopher Nolan batmobile...

The thing that still amazes me most about Dubai is the amount of cars just parked collecting dust. This goes back to 2008 during the recession when a lot of people just packed up and left the country literally leaving their debt behind.

What you get is parking areas with a random car that hasnt been moved in almost 10 years.

Just in my apartments...

Amazing euro cars gone to waste

Yeah people just abandon them when times are tough and go back to their home country. That white note on the BMW is dated 2008.

So after being in the land of sand and camels I finally hit the sand dunes just outside Dubai. Went with a couple of mates as I'm still deciding what 4X4 to buy. Very few things in life give you an idea how big the earth really is, yes we're all taught this at school but to see it is amazing.

So its been 3 months +/- that I've been on SG and have to thank my brother for introducing me to the site (you know who you are). I unfortunately don't have any tattoos yet, I decided last year to take the big leap and get one or two in 2015. That has now come to a halt due to the fact I've moved to...

Where have you moved to!? I had no idea tattooing was illegal anywhere. You're ok to have them though right?
dazza_za:
@anouk sorry for late response. I've moved to Dubai, yeah you wont find any tattoo parlors here but you are allowed to have one.
