Soooo it has been a long year. Over the past 12 months or so I've experience every emotional season possible. I've faced the hardest of times yet, pushed through them, only to have them return with a vengeance. My resolve has not wavered however, and its intensity directly reflects that of the things that would bring me down. I'm happy to say that right now I'm on a high, but as anyone can attest, miraculous peaks are the product of a treacherous climb. Since a picture is worth a thousand words.....
Somethings are better left alone...
Don't let the smiles fool you. It may have begun on a fairy tale note, it may have been temporarily solidified by the trials and stresses that try and break all good things apart. But in the end, we all give in to our true natures. Lies are exposed, feelings are discarded, and your left trying to piece together something positive out of the ruins of what never should have been.
I left Germany with fond memories though...
Somewhere between Germany, Czech, Bulgaria, and Italy I left my hell raising nature. I look back on these photos and wonder were I found the energy. Good thing I got orders for the most boring place in the world. Fort Riley Kansas. Seriously going from Europe to here is the cultural equivalent to jump into cold water on a hot day. Not much eventful happening there so I'll skip forward.
I deployed to Iraq for the third time. I'm happy to say that I didn't fire a single round in anger for the whole year, and was able to enjoy being somewhere foreign. The extra income allowed me to buy a new camera and boredom inspired the purchase of many accessories.
I took a lot of photos that I'll be able to appreciate for years to come.
Went back to Germany for midtour leave....
Relearned my lesson about trying to find romance with friends
Somethings, once again aren't meant to be...
Rekindled some old friendships
Had some great fun at Europa Park!!
Thats about it for now... man first long blog and I'm tuckered out. Brings a new respect for those of you that post the blogs that I enjoy reading. Well, will post more later. Happy Easter.
