I would definately get your new pup up to date on shots. I wouldn't be too worried about rabies because there hasn't been a case of rabies in years, but there are many other dangers lurking out there. If you want to call the shelter where I work, they have a behavior help line that might be able to give you some tips for fence jumping doggies. Lemme know if you'd like the number, otherwise just check out their website (www.aawl.org).
I feel a Hot Pink night coming on soon... you'll have to let me know when you might be out that way next cause I'd love to meet you sometime!
