Thinking about how I miss the winters in Upstate NY...specifically around Lake Placid. The chance to have a ton of snow, or just blisteringly cold temperatures. Down here in New England, they think a few inches is cause for consternation and panic...as a friend of mine put it, a few inches is French Toast Weather. Took me a few hearings of it to understand it's when people rush the stores for milk, eggs, and french toast bread so they can make breakfast when school is closed and the roads suck.
After driving in a blizzard going 60-70, not much can faze me on the road...maybe that's why it only takes me 10 minutes longer in the winter to get anywhere...and even that's due to the horrible-ness of other drivers slowing me down...Snow tires? Rhode Islander's have never heard of them...
In case you were wondering, Fall is 2nd best because Winter is King...
