Today was my six month semi-anniversary with the SlackerInChief. We didn't do anything big because we were lacking funds. We went to Toys 'r' Us, walked around a carnival, hung out in this shopping plaza, and bought a watermelon.
At the shopping place, we were sitting on the edge of a fountain. I was looking inside and noticed that there were no quarters. Jason said it was because people's wishes aren't worth quarters. I didn't have a quarter, but I had 22 cents, so Jason went to ask around for three cents..."to make his girlfriend's dreams come true." We were deciding on what wish to make and decided on a lifetime of love and happiness together. Jason said that wish is worth at least 20 dollars, so we decided to make semiannual installments of 25 cents. That way, our wish will be paid off in 40 years. Jason also said that if we weren't around, then we could mail the payment to the Dexter's, which is the closest place to the fountain, and ask them to throw it in. Anyway, now we have this super cute anniversary tradition.
The job at the kennel is going well, but I can only work it two days a week and the Statue of Liberty gig is over at the end of tax season. I need a job!

there are people who take money out of the fountains unfortunately. In Vegas some of those places are difficult for the public to get into. I know the guy who gets the mountains of coins from the fountain and sorts it and counts it. He pays the hotel or casino for all the US he counts and they let him keep the foreign which is where he can make money.
