Oh, and about Junior....Last I heard he is out 6-10 weeks with a dislocated shoulder. He will try to rehab and come back, but he may still end up needing surgery which would put him out the rest of the season, but they are trying to get away without doing sugery. Sometimes I regret that we got him, but who knew at the time....everyone expected the 50hr seasons not the 50 game seasons.

My prediction is still the Phillies winning the division and the Braves get the wildcard. I hate the Braves almost as much as I hate the Yankees, I think they will struggle this year, but it is hard for me to believe that they won't pull together and make the playoffs....they just keep doing it no matter what happens, bastards.

I'm on the Reds mailing list and I just got an e-mai about Junior. The latest is that he will be out 6-10 weeks and won't need surgery. However, I was listening to the Cubs radio broadcast today and Ron Santo (who does the color commentary for Cubs radio) overheard Marty Brennerman and Griffey's Doctor talking in the bathroom in between innings (how's that for a source!) and apparently it may be less than that, maybe only 4 or 5 weeks. The saddest part is that his leg is finally completely healed and he was expected to be back to his 50HR/125RBI self, now this.
By the way, I'm picking the Phils to win the division with Thome getting the NLMVP
